Chapter 14 - "Something strange"

"Let us eat" Sehun said picking up his chopsticks and diving into his lunch. Chanyeol smiled at his goofy friend before starting to eat himself. 

"Aren't you eating Kai" Sehun asked looking up from his food. Kai didn't reply but started at something the other side of the cafetiere. Chanyeol followed his eyeline to see where he was looking. Kai was starting at Baekhyun talking to Kyungsoo. Kyungsoo was laughing at something Baekhyun had said with a big smile on his face. Kai's gripped his chopsticks harder making the skin on his hand turn pale. 

"Looks like someone is jealous" Chanyeol said smirking at Kai. Kai suddenly came back to life and looked over at Chanyeol. 

"What are you talking about" kai said finally starting to eat. 

Chanyeol smirked again  "You just watching Kyungsoo for like 5 minutes and you were totally jealous of Baekhyun."

 "I-I  was not," Kai stuttered a blush appearing in his cheeks "I just need to tell your boyfriend to back off." 

 "If you say so"  Chanyeol sniggered. Kai glared at him before continuing to eat. Chanyeol looked up to see Baekhyun and Kyungsoo heading away from the counter. He waved in their direction, grabbing Baekhyun attention. The smaller smiled and him and Kyungsoo headed towards the table.  

"Hi," Baekhyun said placing his tray down opposite Chanyeol "Is it Ok if Kyungsoo sits with us?" At these words Kai's head shot up to see the boy standing inn front of him. Chanyeol looked over the situation and smirked. 

"We would love to have Kyungsoo join us" Chanyeol smirked. Baekhyun grinned and sat down. Kyungsoo followe suit and sat down opposite Kai. Kai slowly turned his head towards Chanyeol.

'I'm gonna kill you' mouthed Kai. Chanyeol smirked and continued eating. A light conversation filled the table, with Baekhyun staring deep into Chanyeol's eyes and Kai getting desperately flustered trying to talk to Kyungsoo.

But hidden in the corner of the room stood a figure, watching the happy scene in front of him. Seeing the smile on Baekhyun's face made his blood boil. He clenched his fists and gritted his teeth. "How dare you be happy Bakehyun," the guy growled " I guess we'll see how long this happiness lasts." with one last glance the guy headed out of the cafetiere.

"See you tomorrow" Sehun yelled to Chanyeol as he walked off down the road. Chanyeol waved back before starting to head home himself. Him and Baekhyun walked in silence for a bit. Baekhyun looked around that the city and Chanyeol looked at Baekhyun. Chanyeol smiled at him something about the smaller just made him feel al light and fluffy.

"What" Baekhyun said see Chanyeol smiling and smiling in return.

"Nothing" Chanyeol looking away but still smiling.

"Come on tell me" Baekhyun whined pushing Chanyeol playfully. Chanyeol just turned his head away from the smaller still grinning. Baekhyun whined again and pushed Chanyeol again.

"Not telling you~" Chanyeol hummed. Baekhyun pouted and looked at the ground. Chanyeol chuckled and put and arm round Baekhyun.

"You're so cute" Chanyeol said. A red blush appeared on Baekhyun cheeks.

I-I-m not.....cute" Baekhyun said getting all flustered. Chanyeol laughed at Baekhyun slowly getting pinker.

"You're so cute when you get all flustered" Chanyeol said leaning closer to Baekhyun red face.

"I...I... shut up" Baekhyun said pushing Chanyeol away from him. Chanyeol grinned and contiued walking. Soon they arrived back at Chanyeol's apartment having spent the rest of the trip in silence.

"I'm going to the loo" Baekhyun said. Chanyeol hummed in reply and watched as the smaller left the room. Just as Baekhyun left Chanyeol's phone started ringing. He pulled it out to see an unknow number.

"Hello?" Chanyeol said tentatively

"Hello? Is this Chanyeol?" The voice asked. Chanyeol was slightly taken aback.

"Yes how may i help you" Chanyeol replied trying to stay as polite as possible.

"Yes this is your homeroom teacher Mr Kim" Chanyeol furrowed his eyebrows. Why is he calling? Am i in trouble?

"What is it?" Chanyeol asked very curious now.

"Well i just noticed that Baekhyun didn't have relatives this morning and he seemed quite close with you," Chanyeol leaned on the counter wondering where his teacher was going with this "I just wanted to know if he got home safely"

The line went silent for a moment as Chanyeol took a moment to prosses what he had just been told. Why would his teacher want to know if Baekhyun was safe or not.

"Yeh he got home fine," Chanyeol said beru sceptical of his teacher "Why do you want to know?"

"Oh well just concered thanks for your help" and with that the line went dead.

"Who was that?" Baekhyun asked returning from the bathroom.

"It was Mr Kim" Chanyeol said staring at his phone in confusion.

"What did he want" Baekhyun asked walking up to Chanyeol and looking up into his face.

"He wanted to know whether you got home safely but it's werid teachers don't really care about student when they're not at school" Chanyeol looked down at his phone eyebrow furrowed.

"Hmm i did feel something strange about him this morning but i didn't really think much of it" Baekhyun mumbled moving to sit on the sofa. Chanyeol followed him and put an arm around his shoulders.

"Don't worry i wont let anyone hurt you" Chanyeol said. Baekhyun hummed in reply and snuggled down into Chanyeol chest.

Chanyeol smiled at Baekhyun. He was honestly perfect in everyway and Chanyeol never wanted to let go of him.
