Paisley is a teen girl with a hobby for acting because she thinks that's the only way she can escape her invisible, quiet, shy self. This year, she's cast the lead in a play that was a love story and it's going to be a challenge because of one problem, she's never been in love and is struggling to become this girl who is madly in love.

"Sorry—" Some said when they accidentally bumped into Paisley at the cast list. It was Cain, one of the jocks at school. What was he doing looking at the cast list? "You're Paisley Gardenia right?"

"Um, yes..." She whispered while blushing bright red. All she wanted to do was avoid people and get good grades. Much harder when someone chooses to talk to you.

"Hi, I'm Cain!" Cain beamed brightly as some cheerleaders pass by, almost flirting their butt's off while giving Paisley a dirty glance. Cain was the hottest and most popular guy in school, no arguments there. He's got dirty blonde hair and shivering blue eyes plus this faint British accent and he's on the football team. "You are playing Roselia right? 'Cause I'm playing Herulis!"

He's playing Herulis? Oh my... Paisley thought. In the play, Herulis is Roselia's love interest. Therefore,  that would mean they are working together...

"Oh..." Paisley managed a shy smile as Cain frowned in confusion.

"Is there something wrong? I mean, I know, I'm a jock and everything but like hey, Drama, this could be interesting right?" Cain shrugged and tucked his hands into his pockets. He was very tall standing next to little, petite Paisley, making her all the more nervous. "I don't bite. Promise."

"That's not the problem," Paisley bit her lower lip, making Cain all the more confused. To be honest, he wasn't the brightest student but he does okay.

"Then what is?" Cain asked as Paisley without backing up.

"I don't know how to play this character..." She blurted out and blushed frantically again but Cain just grinned even more. "I've never really been in love like her..."

"Hey, you can do this, I mean I've see you in the other plays, you are good!" Cain exclaimed then blushed slightly realizing what he'd just say as Paisley now turned crimson red. "I-I mean you'll do great. I'll help you with the role if you'd like..."

"Huh?" Paisley gasped a little at his generous offer. No one's ever been this kind to Paisley, surely not this compassionate either. "Oh, um, if that doesn't bother you too much."

"Nah, 'course not. I mean I quit football anyway so I've got lots of free time," Cain beamed and leaned against some lockers behind him, probably trying out a 'cool' act. "So today after school at the park? We can go over our lines."

"Sure..." Paisley smiled kindly as the bell rang and Cain waved goodbye and headed to his next class, leaving Paisley wondering, was this some joke?"

"You came!" Cain beamed after school at a park almost right next to the school. It was a regular hangout spot for the football players and cheerleaders after their practices. And at the moment, its bare due to practices going on, ones that Cain should be attending rather than sitting here with some low classed drama kid practicing for a play. "What are you having trouble with again?"

Yeah, he'd already forgotten... Paisley thought, annoyed but she took a seat on the grass next to Cain anyway.

"You know, it's not that I uh, forgot, I mean I just want to hear it again I guess..." Cain flipped through a series of paper from the script.
