Chapter 12

"Seriously? Why don't you just go straight to the point, Larry? My eyes rolled heavenwards at the sight of his patheticness. "God. So low."

Larry's eyes flickered in anger and I smirked inwardly. Mess with Vandrei, you mess with me.

"Enough, babe." I felt Vandrei's warm hand enveloped my arm. "I'm okay. Let's go." He tried to pull me but I didn't budge. Instead, I crossed my arms.

"No." I sternly said before letting out a mocking smile.

I rolled my eyes again before looking at Larry from head to foot.

I laughed mockingly and saw Larry's face contort in anger.

And then. . .

He smirked.

He confidently said, like I don't know a thing or two about whatever the hell is going on between them.

I cocked a brow and laughed again.

"Jusko, Lark," I exaspiratingly said. And the people watching us laughed.

Ahh, the sound of humiliation.

Lark's game face didn't even crush. It was like mayroon talaga siyang alam na hindi ko alam. I'm a tad bit curious but I didn't show.

My mouth fell and a little giggle came out of it. I didn't show any emotion but smiles.

I felt my eyes ran out of emotion.

Haaay, Vandrei.

I laughed again, and gathered every strength I have to look at him in the eye without ruining my façade.

"I'm sorry. . ." He whispered. I laughed again. My laugh laced with bitterness and annoyance.

I can't believe he didn't tell me about that. Why was he in Sahara's? What did they do? How long was he in her place? How the hell did he come up with the idea of going there?

My palm twitched. I smiled sweetly at Vandrei, who's now looking sympathetically as ever.

"Alam mo, gago ka." Before I knew it, my hand flew across his cheek. Pain stinged my palm in an instant, as his cheek quickly flashed a red mark.

I scoffed and turned my heel before walking out of the scene. I am very much disappointed not only with Vandrei, but also with myself.

Umupo ako sa isang bench in front of the field and fought the strength to cry.

"You are disappointing, Hera." I murmured to myself. I balled my fist and punched the cemented bench I am sitting on.

I can't believe he did that to me. How dare he defy my words. How dare he omit something from me, let alone go to that bitch's place. How dare he lie to me!
