"billy open the god damn door!"
your dad yelled and his grasp tightened on your upper arm
"i'm a bit busy here dad" billy called back and your dad bursted through the door making billy jump a little
"what!" billy yelled and your dad yelled back, "you're meant to be the man of the house when i'm at work billy!"
"she lied, she said she was going to the wheelers dad. how was i meant to know she was lying?" billy said and glared at your dad
your dad let go of your upper arm and put on a fake smile, "since susan and max are out tonight, how about we have a family dinner together? the three of us"
'what is he doing' you asked yourself
*time skip*
your father was never good at cooking but managed to cook beans and steak along side with gravy.
you sat on the opposite side of billy and your dad sat in front of you both
"so how was school billy?" your dad asked while chewing on steak, "it was fine" billy replied plainly
'why is dad trying to be nice? why now?' you ask yourself as you look down at your plate and start eating your beans
"and y/n, what about your day?"
your dad asked while clearing his throat, you still looked down on your plate, "it was crap" you say then look up at him
your dad then looks down at his plate and continues eating
there was a moment of silence until you broke it, "why can't we be like we use to be dad?"
"what do you mean?" he looks up at you while taking his last bite of steak
"why can't we all be happy like we use to?"
"we are happy y/n"
"no dad. you are." you snap then stand up from the table
"excuse me but i'm going to my room" you say as you stomp away leaving billy and your dad at the dining table
