"god damn it!" you screech as dustin laughs in glee and steve smirks
"i win!" dustin laughs, the three of you had been playing a board game at the wheelers basement while mike, lucas, eleven and max were making snacks in the kitchen with mrs wheeler
"i hate you both" you sigh and smack steve on the arm
"aww don't be sad, love. better luck next time" steve smirked as he first pumped dustin
"y/n" max whines as she walks down the stairs, "it's late can we go home now?"
"it's only 7"
"neil wants us home by 7:30"
you groan as you get up, "i'll see you later guys" you say as you follow max up the stairs
"i'll call billy while you say good bye to your friends alright?" you say and grab the phone off the wall
you dial in the number and put the phone up to your ear
"hello?" billy's voice said annoyed through the phone
"hi it's y/n-"
"let me stop you there. you want me to come pick the two of you up?"
"yes billy, please."
"fine." he sighs, "i'll be there in 10"
you hang up on him and put the phone back on the hook
steve comes up from the basement with dustin
he walks into the wheelers living room and gestures you to follow him
he sits on the couch and you sit next to him
you both sit in silence, until steve breaks it
"you're so beautiful y/n i swear"
his voice says softly, filling your ears as you look up to meet his eyes gazing down at you
you smirk and give him a peck on the cheek, "you really know how to make a girl smile don't you steve?"
you say as you lean your head on his shoulder again
*time skip 10 minutes*
you and steve were chatting and catching up since the two of you had spent so much time with the kids you never got alone time
"i say we go on an adventure one day, just the two of us" steve chuckled, making your heart melt
you were literal putty in his hands
"billy is here!" max says as she puts her head around the corner into the living you
you stand up and so does steve,
"i'll see you later" he says as you kiss him
"i love you"
"i love you too"
you smile as you walk over to max and follow her outside the house to billy's car
"fucking brats" billy muttered under his breath as the two of you got into the car
he blurred his music loudly as he sped away from the wheelers home
