Chapter 3~ The Chase
(Serena's POV)
"Serena!" Adrian's voice was fading in the distance as I picked up in speed.
Christian wasn't slowing down and I wasn't giving up. I could still see his black hair in the distance and it was only getting closer as I caught up to him. As I finally got close enough to him, to almost touch him, he darted out to the right and disappeared. I searched the surrounding area for any sign of him, but I couldn't see anything. I couldn't hear anything either. Before I could register what was happening, I felt someone grab me from behind and force me up against the nearest tree. Christian came to stand in front of me as he tightened his hold on my wrists.
"Why are you following me?" His voice was cold and hard. A voice I had never heard Christian use.
"Why wouldn't I? Christian is there something wrong with you?" His eyes became unfocused, his hold on my wrists lessened, and he moved away from me.
"I shouldn't be here. Serena, I'm sorry. Please, don't hate me for this. I don't have a choice." Without warning Christian pulled me from the tree before he slammed me back into it. My head started spinning as Christian caught me and helped me to the ground as I started to fall.
"I'm so sorry, Serena. I love you, but please don't come near anymore." I watched as tears filled his eyes and he bent down to my level as he kissed my forehead.
"Christian...." He stood up and turned to leave as my vision faded to black.
++++ Hey guys I know that this is a really short chapter but with what's going on it was kind of hard to fit anything more into it. But since it's so short I'm going to updating it again today. So hopefully that makes up for it. I'll see you guys soon! Bye! :D
