Chapter 6~ Change of Plans (Part 2)
(Sky's POV)
"Serena, I know that you just woke up and everything, but I need to know who Christian is to you. Who is he? We're you chasing after him?" Adrian looked from me to Serena before he headed to the door.
"Sky, I get that you want to know who Christian is but I can't--" I cut her off mid-sentence.
"Don't give me that bullshit Serena. You're the one that brought him up in the first place." She looked down at the ground before she met my gaze. Just looking in her eyes gave me an idea of who Christian is to her.
"Sky, Christian is my mate, but I-I there's something different about him."
"Serena, I understand. Listen, we are still going to attack the castle in the next few days, and I need to know that you're going to fight with us, not against us." She looked up at me like I was crazy.
"Sky, you can't expect me to kill, much less hurt, Christian. Today was the first time I have seen him in months. I've lost him before, but I won't hurt him." I felt bad for her. Jonathan had told me that when they first got here she wouldn't come out of her room for anything because of everything she'd been through, and now I was basically telling her that it's either us or Christian.
"Serena, I don't expect you to do anything more than to keep him distracted. You don't have to hurt him or kill him or anything like that, but if he tries to kill one of us then I expect you to defend us and help us. If you can't do that then I can't bring you with us." She looked up to me with determination and slight hesitation at the task in front of us.
"Just leave Christian to me and you guys focus on everyone else." I nodded before I turned to leave.
"Oh and Sky, what happened to Jonathan? Where is he?" I felt a deep pang of loss as I turned around to face her.
"He's dead, Serena. Christian killed him." I left before she could say anything else and headed to my room.
