Chapter 8~ Inconvience
(Marcus's POV)
"Christian, are you telling me you failed to kill Jonathan and Lucius?" He nodded before he lowered his gaze to the floor.
"Would you care to explain why you failed at one of the easiest tasks we could have possibly given you?" Sabrina stepped up beside me as we both looked down at him. He cowered away from us.
"I was being chased. After I managed to kill Jonathan someone started chasing me." I took a step closer to him making him almost instantly back away from me.
"Do you know who was chasing you?" He looked up at me for a second before he looked back down. I could see him hesitating, trying to come up with an answer.
"Christian, who was chasing you?" Sabrina was losing her patience and Christian knew it.
"It was Serena. Serena Dyson." I grabbed Christian and held him up by his neck.
"Did anything happen, Christian? Did anything happen between you and Serena?" He grabbed at my hands as I tightened my grip on his neck. After another minute or so passed I let him go and he fell to the floor.
Answer him, Christian!" Sabrina was losing her temper and it was obvious just by looking at her. From the red in her cheeks to her shaking fists, you could tell that she was losing control.
"She was catching up to me...so I...I darted out into the woods...then I pinned her against a tree and....and I asked her why she was following me...after that I pulled her from the tree and I slammed her back into it...she fell to the ground after that and I took off...to get back here." Christian was having a hard time breathing and it took everything in me not to pick him up again and throw him into the wall.
"Do yourself a favor Christian and cut any ties you have to that girl. Once she gets here and tries to attack the castle she'll benothing more than an inconvience that will need to be dealt with, and you'll be the one to deal with her." He visibly tensed up at my words.
"Do you understand, Christian?" Sabrina had turned her back to Christian and was walking away.
"I understand." I was just about to walk away when something came to me.
"Oh and Christian, if you let her distract you again I will kill her and there will be nothing you can do about it."
