Beth paced the attic floor her eyes on the window she had climbed through nearly 15 minutes before.
"Some things not right." She whispered as she hugged Hunter tighter to her chest. Maggie looked up from her spot on the floor and sighed.
"Beth...He....it's been too long." She muttered and beth whirled around to face her.
"He is not dead!" She snapped causing everyone to look her way. "Daryl is not dead." She repeated closing her eyes tightly. Rick rose to his feet gun in hand.
"Youre right, he's not and I'm going to get him." He said as he made his way towards the window. Glenn rose to his feet as well.
"I'm coming too." Rick nodded and looked to Beth.
"We'll bring him back." He said as him and Glenn slipped through the window.
20 minutes had passed and still Rick and Glenn hadn't come back. Bob was stationed at the window to help if they needed him and Carl was holding Judith tightly. Carol was glaring at Beth.
"Why did you leave him behind?" She snapped causing Maggie to lift her head and look between them.
"Daryl told me too, said I had to get the baby up here." Carol snorted.
"Bull you turned tail and run leaving him to die." Beth opened her mouth but Bob shouted and yanked open the window. Glenn rushed into the window and turned just as Daryl started yelling.
"Son of a bitch bit me." Beth froze heart tightening as she watched Glenn and Bob pull Daryl into the window Rick following.
"Calm down Daryl, we don't know if it's a bite yet." Rick said as Glenn and Bob eased Daryl on the ground. Beth rushed forward handing Hunter off to Maggie as she went. Daryl looked up, face covered in blood and smiled brightly.
"Damn you a beautiful sight to see." Beth smiled weakly and dropped to her knees beside him as Rick worked of Daryl boot.
"Damn, boots missing a chunk." Rick said and both Daryl and beth turned narrowed eyes to him. Beth felt tears stream down her face as her shoulders shook. Daryl reached up and cupped her face in his palm.
"Hey don't cry, please don't cry." Beth broke flinging her arms around him she balled into his chest.
"You can't leave me. You promised." She sobbed and Daryl closed his eyes hands tangling in her hair.
"He ain't going no where." Rick exclaimed causing them both to jerk there heads in his direction. He was smiling brightly.
"Bastard might have took a chunk of your boot but he missed your flesh. Your fine, no bite." Beth cried harder yanking Daryl head to her chest tightly he laughed rubbing her back gently.
"See I'm still keeping my promise." He said as he pulled back. Gently he kissed her tasting her salty tears on his lips he smiled. "I love you." He whispered . She sniffed whipping her eyes.
"I love you too." She said between sobs. He whipped a tear from her face.
"Hey buck up I'm fine." He lifted her head and smiled causing her to smile. "Now get me my son."
it's short I know but I just am not happy with this chapter. Also I thought I was going to be able to update more often but I was wrong. Today is the first time since my accident that I've been alone. My whole family is coming by every day to cook clean and sit with me. It's driving me nuts. I finally snapped and told every one to leave me alone. My mom said they'd given today but tomorrow it's back to not even begin able to change the channel on the tv with out someone trying to help.
lol well I'll try to update again this afternoon.
