Finding The Enemy

They had arrived at the entrance to the Shinjiku district. It was an opened gate with trash all around it and graffiti on the walls. Tsukiko saw a rat run out of the garbage and she clung to Mon. Shoukku looked around, still trying to get the idea in his head that Shichi was here. Yoroshii moved in his arms and slowly opened his eyes. Shoukku looked at him and tried to smile.

Shoukku:You're finally awake. Did you sleep well?

Yoroshii just shook his head and began to cry again.

Yoro:I had a bad dream.

Shoukku:About what?

Yoroshii hesitated to speak then looked at Shoukku with a scared look.

Yoro:Shichi was dead.

Everyone froze. Shoukku gritted his teeth. He was hoping that it wasn't a sign. Mon quickly tried again to contact the spirits that were with Shichi. It didn't take her as long last time since they were closer to her. She opened her eyes and sighed with relief and fear.

Mon:She's still alive but....

Shoukku:But?

Mon:The spirits say that even though she's alive she's not.

Shoukku:The hell kind of answer is that?

Mon:They say that Zenaku did something to her.

Shoukku just widened his eyes. He was going to kill him for taking Shichi. They had to hurry if they were going to save her.

Aito:If we're going in then I suggest we use extreme caution so none of the criminals see us.

Mon:There's no need. Everyone gather around me.

They all gathered around Mon. She put her hands together and closed her eyes.

Mon:Spirit of concealment!

A veil covered them but nothing happened.

Shoukku:Are your powers on the fritz because we look the same.

Mon:We are. I've just allowed us to move around without anyone else seeing us. But we have to stay together. Anyone who gets out of the veil will be spotted. Oh and one more thing. No talking. We can't be seen but we can be heard.

They all nodded and began to walk past the gate. Once they did, everything was chaos. Buildings were on fire, windows were broken, people were killing each other, everything was like looking at hell. They could hear faint screaming in the distance. It sounded female but they knew it wasn't Shichi. The voice was too high. Shoukku tried to ignore it and Yoroshii just covered his ears. Mon turned to Tsukiko and whispered as low as she could without anyone outside hearing her.

Mon:Tsukiko. I know your powers aren't as developed as mine but you can still talk to spirits. I need you to try and talk to Shichi's spirits while I concentrate on the veil.

Tsukiko nodded and put her hands together. She concentrated as hard as she could but was getting nothing. She decided to keep trying since she knew that, once they were close enough to the spirits, she would be able to talk to them. They all continued walking and Aito dodged a rock that had been kicked and sent flying in a nearby fight. He also grabbed a small knife that was about to hit Yoroshii after it had been thrown and missed its target. Yoroshii smiled at Aito and he smiled back. He placed the knife on the ground, trying not to make that much noise. They were still walking when Yoroshii felt a sneeze coming on. He tried to hold it in but was unable to and sneezed. They all looked at him in horror. They looked around to see if anyone heard but it looked like no one did. They were wrong, however, when they heard someone groaning in an alleyway nearby. They looked to see 2 guys sitting in the alleyway.They both had messed up hair and torn clothes. Scars covered their face and the skin that was visible. One had long brown hair that went to his shoulders and brown eyes. He wore a white shirt and black jacket with black pants and no shoes. The other had short hair that was dyed green and his eyes were a dark blue. He also wore a white shirt and had no shoes but wore blue pants. They both looked over in the direction they heard the sneeze and everyone froze. The man with the jacket got up and began slowly walking towards their direction. The other guy spoke.
