Awakened Slumber

Henshin slowly made his way over to Shichi. He looked at her an began to hiss. Shichi just looked at him and he immediately froze and slitered back over to Tsukiko. Mon gritted her teeth and glared at Zenaku. He just shook his head.

Zenaku:That's not going to save you.

Aito:You're the one who's going to need saving when we're done with you.

Zenaku:Now who said anything about me fighting?

Shichi took a few steps forward and transformed. Shoukku and Yoroshii looked at her in disbelief. Shoukku examined her cloak and sword, her hair that had grown a bit after her transformation. How was that Shichi?

Shoukku:Is that the power you were telling me about Mon?

Mon:Yes. Her reaper form. The one she was able to keep from you for many years.

Shoukku:I can't believe I never saw it.

Shoukku then flinched when Shichi pulled out her sword. He couldn't believe that she carried around such a huge sword. It was just over half the height of her body! He immediately grabbed Yoroshii and ducked behind the corner they had come from with Henshin next to them.

Yoro:What are we doing here?

Shoukku:Staying out of the way. We don't have powers like Shichi and the others.

Yoro:Is that really Shichi?

Shoukku:I'm afraid so. Even if she is being controlled and has those powers its still our sister.

Yoro:She looks like she's in pain.

Shoukku:How can you tell?

Yoro:Her eyes. Before her hair covered them, her eyes looked like they were screaming out in pain.

Her eyes? He could tell that just by looking at them? Shoukku watched as Shichi kept walking closer to them but stopped only feet away. The others looked serious yet sad. Were they really going to fight her? Shoukku's question was quickly answered when Aito was the first to charge. He had his fist raised and was about to punch Shichi when she dodged and swung her sword. He immediately activated his Dousatsu and dodged the attack. It was a constant exchange of attacks that kept missing. Blow after blow and none were connecting. That changed however when Aito began to get tired but Shichi was still breathing normally. She was attacking faster and Aito was nearing his limits from using the Dousatsu. Aito was about to dodge another attack from Shichi's sword when she pretended to swing and disappeared. Aito lost sight of her. He was looking for her but didn't find her in time to block her sword. It pierced his side and he screamed out in pain. Shichi pulled out her sword and Aito dropped to his knees, holding the wound and trying to keep the blood from escaping. Shichi was about to strike again when Mon quickly took action. She put her hands together and called on another spirit.

Mon:Spirit of immobalization.

Shichi stopped her attack but not on purpose. She was frozen. Unable to move thanks to Mon. Tsukiko took this opportunity to run over to Aito and help him get away from Shichi. Shichi was fighting against Mon and trying to move. Mon was having difficulty keeping her frozen. She was strong but not nearly as strong as Shichi. Tsukiko was able to get Aito over to Mon who concentrated harder. She then looked at Tsukiko.

Mon:You have to be the one to heal him Tsukiko.

Tsukiko:But you know I can't do that! I don't know how to harness the powers from the spirits yet!

Mon:Its not that hard. Just concentrate on the spirit you want to use and call out to it.

Tsukiko:Are you sure?

Mon:Of course I'm sure that my own sister can do it.

Tsukiko nodded and did as Mon said. She put her hands together and focused on the spirit she needed. She listened to the spirit's voices and asked for the spirit of healing. No answer. She asked again and heard a faint voice say that it was here. She asked again and the voice answered louder. She focused harder and there, in front of her, was the spirit of healing.

Tsukiko:I need your power. My friend is injured.

The spirit nodded and said it would help. Tsukiko then began to glow like her sister and a white aura seeped from Tsukiko's body. She opened her eyes and placed her hands on Aito's wound. It began to heal and the blood slowly vanished. The pain was gone and Aito sat up, eyes wide and amazed that Tsukiko had just healed him. Mon looked at her with a smile.

Mon:Told you that you could do it.

Tsukiko smiled but the moment was quickly over when Shichi was able to move again after breaking free of Mon's hold. She looked over at Mon and pointed her sword at her. Mon looked at Tsukiko who nodded in acknowledgement and stood up. They held hands and concentrated hard, combining their powers.

Mon:Spirits merge. 5 Trigram of Souls.

A white circle with a star in it appeared in front of them and Mon and Tsukiko placed their free hands on a point on the star.

Mon:Trigram star, demon summon.

The star glowed black. A hole from the underworld appeared on the floor and a demon emerged from the hole. It had black scales and blood red eyes. It's claws were long and sharp and it was skinny but yet a bit muscular. It had no teeth and a long tube came from its mouth. Shoukku and Yoroshii looked at it in horror while Aito just stared at it as it growled.

Aito:What kind of demon is that?

Mon:It's known as a bandit demon. They got that name because they are able to hide in small places thanks to their flexible and skinny bodies, waiting for a powerful being to pass by. They then pounce on that being and steal their powers by using their tube shaped tongue and it doesn't hurt the victim but it will leave them feeling weak. They feed on the power they steal.

Aito:You called it here to steal Shichi's powers didn't you?

Mon:Yes. The Trigram allows us to control it so it won't attack us but it will go after her.

Aito, Shoukku, Yoroshii, and Henshin just watched as Mon and Tsukiko commanded the demon to attack Shichi. It charged at her and she was about to swing at it when Mon took action as well.

Mon:Trigram star, immobilization.

Shichi was frozen again. It was harder to break this time because of the combined powers of Mon and Tsukiko. The demon quickly made its way over to Shichi and grabbed her. The tube in its mouth was placed on her chest and it began to steal her powers. Shichi struggled to break free of the demon's hold but was still frozen. She could feel herself getting weaker and weaker. After awhile, she was close to passing out. The demon finally stopped and let go of Shichi. She fell to the floor and transformed back into her human form. The demon went back into the underworld and the hole closed. Shichi stayed on the ground for a few seconds and began to slowly get up, weak from having her power stolen. She struggled to stand up and looked at Mon and Tsukiko. They looked at her, hoping she was ok. Shichi took a few steps forward. Yoroshii looked at her and smiled.

Yoro:Shichi's back!

He wiggled out of Shoukku's hold and ran up to Shichi. He lunged at her and tackled her, making them both fall over.

Yoro:You're ok!

Shichi:Th-that's hurts you know.

Shoukku smiled with relief. She was ok. Shichi was herself again.
