Ch. 18: Evil Overlord

Tris POV:

"Caleb! Slow down!" I yell after my six year old little brother.
He runs to the spring.
"Caleb!" I yell running faster.
He laughs and continues to run.
He bumps into someone.
I look to see who it is.
Lauren.
"Watch where you're going." She says.
"Sorry." Caleb says.
"You little imbecile. All you kids are always getting in my way."
"I said, I was sorry."
"Sorry doesn't cut it."
I put my brother behind me.
"He said, he was sorry." I say.
"I don't care." Lauren says.
"Lauren, leave them alone." Tobias says from behind her.
"What? You're choosing them over me? I'm a princess!" Lauren argues.
"They are still people."
"Is it because of her!? That dumb maid!"
"My sister is not dumb!" Caleb yells.
"If she's not, then you are." Lauren says.
"Lauren, enough! Go home." Tobias says.
"You're not the boss of me."
"Go."
"Fine."
She walks away and I hug Caleb.
He begins crying into my chest.
I stroke his head and then I look at Tobias.
"Sorry." He says.
I give him a small smile and continue to hug Caleb.
Caleb wipes his face.
"Don't listen to her." I say.
He smiles and hugs me again.
He turns around and looks at Tobias. He gets on his knees.
"Why are you kneeling?" Tobias asks him.
"You are the prince." Caleb says.
I laugh and Tobias smirks at me.
"Don't laugh at the powerful overlord." Tobias says in a booming voice. "Bow down to your master."
I laugh.
"Stand up Caleb." I say.
He stands up.
"This is Tobias, the--" Tobias cuts me off.
"I am Tris's boyfriend."
"You are dating a Prince!?" Caleb shouts.
"Shh." I say.
"Yep. Your sister is my princess."
I smile and Caleb gags.
