Tris POV:

Five bloody days have gone by and I can feel my body dying.
I look at Nico.
"I'm sorry you have to die like this. If it wasn't for me. You wouldn't be here." I say choking on every word.
"It's okay. And if I die with someone, I'm glad it's you." Nico replies.
I smile weakly.
Marcus walks in.
"This is too priceless. Your little brother just gave some of your stuff to my son. Caleb is a joy. But it's a shame he has to grow up without you. Your mother is just a poor thing. The women is out of it. She's crying all over the place. And don't get me started on Christina. She is mad at Tobias. She thinks that if you had never been with him this would not have happened to you. And she does have a point. And don't get me started with Tobias. He's mad at the world and I have him just where I want him. Honestly this has been fun. But you could last three weeks or die sooner. But I'd appreciate sooner. So how have you been?" Marcus says.
I'm too weary to say anything.
"Nothing? Fine, I'll tell you what. I'll unchain your hands because you are too tired and weak to do anything." Marcus says.
He unchains Nico first and then me.
I would kick him but I am too weak.
Marcus laughs evilly and walks out the room.
I curl up in a ball and tears run down my face.
It's the only thing I can do.
-----
I sit on my bed debating on when I should ask my dad. But I guess God decided for me because my dad walks through the door.
"Hello son. Are you feeling okay today?" Marcus says.
"Yes. Uh... I'm feeling much better."
"So, son. I know Tris was your love but now you can move on. Why don't you marry Nita?"
I try to stay calm while speaking.
"What do you mean? I'm not marrying Nita. I love Tris." I say.
"But, you have to get married." Marcus says.
"No. Dad, how exactly did Tris die?"
"I don't know. They found her body."
"Where is her body?" I ask crossing my arms.
"We burned it."
"Who exactly is we?"
"Vincent, Chris, and David."
I push him out.
"But son--"
I close the door.
There is a big problem.
I grab something of my dresser and head to Hana in the garden.
"Mom, Tris isn't dead." I say.
"What makes you say that?" She asks.
"Dad said that Vincent, Chris, and David took care of her body."
"But no one on our staff have those names."
"Exactly."
"And if your father is going to keep lying he is going to have to change those names. He uses them every time."
"But he's hiding her somewhere. But where?"
"I don't know."
"I have a plan but you have to help me."
"Anything."
I smile.
A perfect plan.
