Marcus POV:

I saunter down to the dungeon where I have Nico and Tris.
The first door is broken.
I sigh.
Imbeciles.
They tried to save her.
But the vault is shut tight.
No one knows the code.
I walk down the stairs.
The vault is opened.
I step in.
Tris and Nico are gone.
"Shit."

Tobias POV:

"He did want me to marry you." Tris mutters in her sleep.
I turn my head towards her.
"He said it. Tobias should marry Nita. She'd bring a fortune. He killed my dad." She says.
"He would let me die with the secret. He starved me." She adds.
"I didn't want him to break you. I'm sorry Tobias."
She groans and touches her head.
She opens her eyes.
I look at her then at the door.
"Hey. Tobias. Are you okay?" She asks me.
"I'm fine."
"Okay."
"Thank you."
"For what?"
"Don't worry."
I kiss her and walk out.
I walk past her family and Hana.
I break running to the entrance of the dungeon.
I stand to the left the entrance.
Marcus comes climbing up.
"Why did you do it? You knew she was my only happiness!" I yell in his face.
I pin him to the wall.
"You tried to kill her!" I yell. "You were going to take an advantage of my broken heart."
I don't want for a response.
I drag him into the palace.
He's going to pay for what he did.
To me. To Hana. But most importantly.
To Tris.
