Ch.26: I'm a Vampire

Tris POV:

I pull back.
"I'm sorry." I say.
"I enjoyed it." Nico says smiling and making me laugh.
"You always seem to make me laugh."
Nico grabs my hand, pulls me closer, and kisses me.
We break apart.
"I've wanted to kiss you since I laid my eyes on you at the party." Nico says.
I smile at him.
When I look around I realized the sun is down and it's a full moon.
"Wait do you here that?" Nico says.
"What?" I ask.
I hear howling and Nico starts howling. I stare at me like he's crazy.
"Force of habit. I'm a werewolf." Nico says in a funny accent.
"I'm a vampire." I say in a accent.
"But how can this be!"
"Our love is forbidden!"
"Our love will be secret."
We start laughing.
"That has got to be the most cliché thing I've ever done." I say.
"We are really good actors."
"I think it's time we get out or we will turn to prunes."
I get out of the pool, dry my body, and slip on my dress. I sit on a rock.
Nico get out, dries himself, and slips on his shirt.
"I'm going to turn into a werewolf. Bite me." He says.
Nico puts his hand on either side of me on the rock and turns his head so I see his neck.
"Seriously?" I ask him.
"Yup."
I bite his neck lightly. He looks at me and I notice the distance between his face and mine.
Five inches.
"I can feel the transformation." Nico says. "But I need something stronger."
Before I know it we're kissing again.
We pull back.
"The transformation is complete." Nico says.
I smile and he returns the favor.
