Tris POV:
"Tris. I really need to talk to you." Tobias says.
I sigh and nod.
He pulls me into his room.
I stand there, waiting for his explanation.
"And I would appreciate of you didn't interrupt." Tobias says.
Don't hit him Tris. Don't hit him.
"Tris. What you heard the other was not true. I mean, it was true but I didn't mean it. My dad is forcing me to pick a princess to marry and I had to." He says.
I feel hot tears brim in my eyes.
"Please don't cry. I'm sorry."
I turn away from him.
"Is that why you stopped coming to the spring? Is that why you stopped talking to me? Is that why you avoided me?" I ask him.
"It's wasn't meant that way."
"If you had just told me we wouldn't be in this mess!"
"I was stupid."
"Was?"
"I'n sorry Tris. I should've told you."
"I'll talk to you later, Tobias. Just let me think about."
He nods and I walk out.
You know what they say.
Smile to keep from Crying.
So I smile and do my palace work.
