Tris POV:
I walk to work the next day, looking how I did before I got into a relationship with Tobias.
I wash the floors, wash the dishes, and then comes the worst part of my day.
Tobias's room.
I trudge to Tobias's room.
When I walk in, Tobias is there.
Just my luck.
"Tris. I didn't see you at the spring last night." Tobias says.
"I didn't want to see you." I say.
"Why?"
I ignore him and begin cleaning.
He grabs my hands.
"Why?" He asks again.
I feel the tears sliding down my face.
"Why?" Tobias asks again. This time softer.
"Because I hate you! I hate you and I never want to see you again! You are just like every other guy in this goddamn Earth and I hate you! I thought you were different! But you're not! Enjoy your life with Nita!" I say and I begin crying.
"Tris, I--"
"Don't touch me! Just let me go."
"Tris, you're my girlfriend. I would never--"
"Save it for someone who cares."
"But, you're my girlfriend."
"I am merely a maid to you and that's all I ever be."
I walk out of his room and I bump into Queen Hana.
"My apologies Queen Hana. I was not watching where I was going." I say.
"It's okay, Tris. Can I talk to you? Out in the hidden garden?" She asks me.
I nod and follow her.
She sits me down at a table.
"I know, you are or you were dating Tobias." Queen Hana says.
"I'm sorry, I didn't--"
"It's okay, Tris. I would want you dating him. But I guess he's made his choice now."
"I know." I say and begin crying.
Queen Hana pulls me into an embrace.
"I am merely a maid." I say.
"You are a merely a hidden princess in a maid's disguise."
"But Tobias couldn't see that."
