Edan

I'm so tired by the time its dinner my face almost falls in my mashed potatoes. Tonight we are having bland mashed potatoes and ground beef.

For some reason Blaze and Chrys aren't sitting by each other. Jade is sitting between them. Awkward is what I would describe the meal, awkward. I can't help but look at these red hand prints on Blaze's neck though and every time she gulps her throat makes a popping sound.

"Well if it isn't beautiful." I hear a familiar guy's voice. I turn and it's the guy on the monorail. "Hello Count Dorkula." I say back. "I think we got off to the wrong start, what's your name beautiful." "First of all don't call me that and second of all Edan." "Well then Edan how about that date I told you about." I catch a glimpse of Dell's face which is as red as a tomato.

"C'mon please!" he begs which I love! "No." I say flatly. "I'm on my knees." He looks at me in the eye, and for a second I'm actually considering it but I shake it out of my head. I am about to say something when Dell interrupts me. "She can't the school and there rules you would never have time together. Sorry." He gives him a look that looks like he's gonna murder him and walks away. I mouthed the words thank you and eat in silence.

Me and Blaze walk to our rooms and lay on our beds. I let out a sigh and look at the hand prints on her neck. "What happened?" I can't help but ask. "A guy tried to choke me in fighting." "Oh ok. I'm gonna have nightmares now of you choking me now." "You asked!" We both laugh and sigh.

"So how is it going with Chrys and you?" "Fine he protected me from the guy choking me." "He likes you." I say straight out cause it's obvious. She sits up. "Ya whatever. How are you and Dell?" She asks changing the subject. "He likes Jade doesn't he?" "That's what Chrys says and he says he also likes you."

"Ya whatever. I'm going to sleep I'm worn out." I crawl under the fresh covers and cover up my head and fall asleep like a rock.

That night I had nightmares, of people finding out about my secret and me getting suffocated by leaves; Jade and Dell together and Blaze leaving me forever. Then there is me all alone suffocating in plants.

I wake up with a cold sweat. I feel Blaze wake up too. "What's wrong?" she asks tiredly. "Nothing. Nothing, I just need uh a drink of water." I get up and walk over to the sink. I grab the cup that's holds the white toothbrush and fill it under the sink. I drink the whole thing and crawl back under the covers. "Are you sure- go back to sleep Blaze!" I interrupt her and there is no more conversation.

I accidentally wake up at 4:00 and I can't go back to sleep so I grow a lily and place it beside Blaze. Then take it and throw it away. She wakes up at 6:00 and we get ready and leave for breakfast without a single word. We are the first ones down to the cafeteria. When everyone's at the cafeteria and eating the beep of an intercom goes on. "Attention students the time between Dinner and Curfew will now be held for sports. We have bowlball, football and handball. The rules of each game will be printed at the office tryouts are today come to the archery stables to tryout. Thank you."

My face lit up. I love sports. I am definitely trying out. "Anyone trying out" Jade asks. "Me!" I say. "Ya know Edan I never have known your full story tell me." I can tell he ignored the thing I just said. "My full story?" "Yeah" says Chrys. My palms are sweaty. Every eye is on me.

"I was born, I grew up, my mother died, I grew up some more and here I am." "That's the same story you told me. Blaze says. "How did your mom die?" Jade asks. I can feel myself shiver.

"She um... She was suffocated." I feel myself crying. I have never told anyone how my mom died. "By what?" Dell asks. "Plants." I say spitting it out. I felt good to let it out. "Plants? How?" I sense Blaze is confused. "I can't tell you." I say, because she got killed by my plants.
