Return of the Phoenix

First Year

          Ten years later, Katerina had been working as a events planner the best the Wizardry World has seen and as such she looked after Remus Lupin making sure he's okay and he's been a great uncle to Katherine enough that he raised her on and off for the last ten years for Sirius. Remus was there for Katerina when her mother died and gets along with Josef just fine though he could never be Sirius he knew he loved Katerina very much and that she will always love him. Katerina had got Katherine her supplies for Hogwarts she wanted her to know that no matter what anyone says her father is a good man Katherine said "I know mother, I can feel it". She said "Now, Katherine don't go and use your gift it's invasion of privacy" she said "I know, Uncle Remus already lectured me on that, it's not nice reading other's mind if you don't want them to read yours" she hugged her she said "Oh, I waited for this day to come but with your father also" tears forming in her eyes Katherine said "Mommy, I'll be fine don't worry about me" she said "It's my job to worry about you". Hogwarts train started to fill up Katherine went to go Katerina said "Katherine look to the owls for guidance" she said "Of course mom" she boarded the train. 

        At Hogwarts the place was so lit it was magical a sight to be seen first years encountered the sorting hat into the four dormitories Katherine's name was announced but it was no shock really she was Black after all but she landed in Gryffindor where her dad was in and her godparents as well. Settled into Hogwarts Katherine made friends with Hermoine Granger and of course she didn't tell about her lineage because it's still hurts her so just that everything is complicated and being in class she gained the attention of Professor Severus Snape I guess because he's a friend of her mother's she's seen him before he delivered a message to her mom for something she didn't know about. Later on she was curious about everything mostly looking for a clue to her dad but nothing of late she greeted Hermoine who was sad by what Ron had said about her being a know-it-all she figured she should be there for her. In girl's restroom with Hermoine when a Troll was roaming the halls he attacked them when Katherine unleashed her phoenix powers on it shocking Hermoine as well as Harry and Ron she was able to stop the Troll when the adults came to see the four of them there and punished them for putting themselves in danger. They at Quidditch game Harry's first Hermoine spoke to Katherine she said "What was that yesterday?" she said "Oh, that was a secret a family trait" she said "Well, it was something" she said "Yeah, I'm a legilimency so" she said "That's good to know". December came everyone gearing for holiday break Katherine loved winter just like her mother does she left and hoping it would be a relaxing break.

         Returning to Hogwarts she strife for academic excellence in all her classes and learning more about her family history. While Harry, Ron, and Hermoine embarking on their illegal adventures at Hogwarts risking the ability of being expelled something she wasn't wanting no part in. Katherine learned of Mirror of Erised in Room of Requirements that it shows what the person desires most she went and sought it out hoping to find answers she saw into the mirror her dad and mom together with her she said "Daddy?" he smiled at her and looking at her mom she said "This is what I want." Dumbledore greeted her he said "Katherine Lily Black desiring to see her family whole" she turned to see him there she said "Headmaster" he said "Seems you and Harry Potter both want what this mirror shows but it won't give it to you only holds you back" she said "I was one year and 3 months old when my dad was taken from me, most people didn't realize that I knew what was going on" he said "Your Vulchanova trait, legilimency yes I know your mother was very special also" she said "My dad is and will always be innocent despite what others say" he said "I see you're holding onto the belief of innocence and that is rarity to see given what you've experienced but don't dwell on the past look onto the future and what you can achieve here at Hogwarts". Headmaster Dumbledore's words struck Katherine hard mostly because her dad is in Azkaban nothing she can do about that but prove to everyone that she smarter than them and that despite everything she can overcome so much more.

          As the adventure concluded everyone wrapping up their first year at Hogwarts Katherine remembering what Headmaster Dumbledore said to look to the future and not dwell on the past she made new friends at Hogwarts and looking forward to what lies ahead. Eating in the Great Hall listening to Dumbledore speak of the Houses' school points Slytherin was etched out by Gryffindor and the Great Hall was adorned with Gryffindor's colors and tapestries and thus they get the House Cup. With everyone else on Hogwarts' train excited for summer vacation Katherine smiled knowing her journey has just begun.
