Third Year: Family

            Katherine had been having visions leading up to her next term at Hogwarts something about her dad Sirius Black something about being a family united everything was all jumbled up. She was very aware of her birthday that her mother bestowed her a gift a owl pendant just like her own she said "I know you've eyed mine forever so I got you one of your own" she said "It's beautiful mom, I love it" she put it on her she said "Katherine, you okay?" she said "Yeah mom, I just wished dad was here" she said "I know, but guess what Uncle Remus will be joining you at Hogwarts this term as your Defense Against Dark Arts Teacher" she said "Great". The notion that Uncle Remus would be her teacher is grand she couldn't wait to show him how smart she really is. Katerina was reading the paper and realized Sirius escaped Azkaban a smile came across her face but she knew one thing he would look for Katherine given everything and won't stop till he finds her she may not fear him but who knows what Azkaban did to his state of mind she sent word to Remus to look after Katherine very carefully. Katherine having aged beautifully most would have growth sport but she had beauty sport as she was on Hogwarts Train she sat with Ginny and Neville talking about most anything. 

        Arrived at Hogwarts Katherine very much had a following of girls they wanted to be in her good graces she was strutting about like she owned the place she was very much her mother's daughter but she didn't care really. In Hagrid's class she was listening to Draco making fun of Hagrid and going on about telling his father about it she said "As if your father has any leeway given he was ousted last term for threatening the governors on removing Dumbledore or have I forgot something else?" everyone looked at her because she insulted Draco he said "Really, it was your expose that outed him?" she said "I reported the truth, I can't help that your dad was ousted besides it didn't hurt his pride I heard he's working with Minister Fudge". Everyone saw a hippogriff Buckbeak Harry volunteered to meet it Katherine saw Buckbeak she was in awe of it Draco saw it thinking though Katherine made rattle him but he likes her maybe she be worthy of him before anyone else starts to ask her out. Draco went to impress Katherine get's injured by Buckbeak thinking she would fawn over him his plan backfired say the least but Pansy was instead. Katherine was in Remus' class she was putting on brave face with papers showing her dad all over it everyone facing their boggart Katherine's was snakes she said "Riddikulus" it turned into bubbles and that was the end of the lesson. Katherine was in the Owl Tower she found it calming like her mother did she found an inscription on the wall her parent's initials she said "Oh I wished for those moments again" Remus said "This place holds memorable moment when your parents decided to date in secret" she said "Uncle Remus, I know he's looking for me I can feel it but I know he's looking for Peter Pettigrew as well" he said "Peter Pettigrew is dead Katherine" she said "That's just it Uncle Remus, I don't believe he is something mom told me about the animagus forms that he was a rat and if anything he probably been a rat all this time" he said "You are truly smart, like your mother and what Dumbledore says a very good investigator" she said "Well, I look for the truth no matter the cost" he said "Why don't you run along now".

         Heading back to the Gryffindor Common Room they found the entrance portrait scratched to bits they learned Sirius Black was here Katherine's eyes got big while everyone was sent to Great Hall she was approached by Dumbledore he said "Has he contacted you of late, my child?" she said "You want to know if my father Sirius Black contacted me since his escape? No, he has not he doesn't know what I look like last I saw him was October 31, 1981 the day the world stopped for my family so Headmaster if I seen him you think I would report it to you?" he said "Katherine, I know you wish for your family to be together but your father..." she said "May go and join the others or be interrogated for a crime I have yet to commit because I share the last name Black" he said "Run along then" she did as he said but she didn't like being accused of something she didn't do and she knew her dad wasn't a killer she just needed to prove it if that meant going against Dumbledore then that's what she'll do.
