Katherine learned the trio were in Hogwarts when she sent word to the order and was mentioned by Neville that the phoenix has been watching out for the lot of them but no one knows who the phoenix is Hermione said "Oh we know the phoenix well". Katherine and group brought to Great Hall to be interviewed by Snape he wanted to know if anyone was harboring Harry Potter to speak now or fail severe punishment Katherine came out of the group she said "It seems you can't underestimate a phoenix can you"

Snape took his wand out when Professor McGonagall took hers battling him while Katherine/Phoenix took on the Carrow twin Death Eaters swooshing her powers she knocked them out while Professor McGonagall sent Snape retreating through a window students cheering. Katherine went to stop Pansy from trying to capture Harry she said "I dare you, in one move you be toast" she stood between her and the rest of students McGonagall had Mr. Filch taken Slytherin students down to the dungeons while the rest prepared for battle and protecting Hogwarts.
