Return of the Phoenix

Third Year: Katherine Black

           Katherine wasn't letting go of her search for Peter Pettigrew and she was helping Uncle Remus given it being a full moon she had seen him in wolf form she knew what the risks are and everything. Katherine had a vision she knew she had to get to the Whomping Willow quick she went running out to the grounds to the tree she had to get there not knowing she was leading Snape there as well he was curious to why Katherine was running so fast for. She bypassed a very angry Whomping Willow she found Ron, Harry, and Hermione in a room of a shack she realized this was the Shrieking Shack she walked in on Uncle Remus having greeted Sirius Black Hermione said "Katherine, why are you here?". She turned to see Sirius Black he saw her every bit like young Katerina his wife he wondered Remus said "How did you get here?" she said "I told you I wasn't letting him go and I knew he wouldn't either" the three didn't understand what Katherine and Professor Lupin was talking about then it hit Harry like a ton of bricks he said "You're the child, you're the daughter of Sirius Black" Hermione and Ron gasped and Sirius was in shock that this beauty every image of his wife Katerina is his daughter his Katherine. Katherine said "My name is Katherine Lily Black, I am daughter of Sirius Black" Ron said "So, you're a traitor" she said "No, never but my dad isn't either" Harry said "So you lied to us, to me?" she said "No, I never revealed the truth because I've been looking for proof that my dad is and has always been innocent by searching for Peter Pettigrew and I found him thanks to you, now my family can be what I wished whole again". Sirius going little bit crazy he said "Remus let's kill him, I've waited for 12 years of it and missed my family's lives" Snape came in he said "Sirius Black in the flesh, give me a reason to allow you to live" Katherine's emotions boiling Sirius said "My daughter, Katherine" he looked at her he said "She grew up without you and she'll do just fine" he said "Ah, if she's every bit like her mother then be warned for what's to come" he said "Don't try to trick me with your games" Katherine started to glow Ron watching her in shock as he pointed to her Snape said "I should finish you off so the Dementors wouldn't get a chance to, after you" he wanted the four students to go when Katherine unleashed the phoenix power onto Snape swooshed him into a broken bed knocking him out Sirius and Remus turned to see Katherine glowing Sirius said "Katherine" she was incoherent Hermione touched her arm and got burned Remus said "Kat, dear calm down". Sirius went and took her hands burning himself he said "Phoenix, let go of Katherine please" it did Katherine collapsed into his arms Harry said "What happened to her?" Sirius said "A family trait she inherited from her mother where she becomes a Phoenix based on emotions" Harry said "Where's Peter Pettigrew?" he said "In this room, Scabbers" Remus went and used wands and caused Peter to reveal himself he was in awe of his old chums and seeing Katherine in Sirius' arms he said "She truly is Katey's daughter" he tried to leave Sirius said "Katey knew not to trust you she warned me of you and your loyalties, you sold James and Lily to Voldemort, took me away from her and my daughter" he said "I didn't mean to" Harry said "We'll take you to the castle and Dementors can have you". 

          Coming out of the Whomping Willow Sirius carried Katherine in his arms she was still unconscious Hermione with Ron watching about Harry spoke to Sirius as he held his daughter he said "I never meant for her this life, I wanted to be part of it but knowing she's never given up on me makes me love her more" Harry said "Now I understand why she never talks about herself because of you, she didn't want to become that thing" he said "The Phoenix, is when one loses control of themselves through anger, grief, and sadness Katerina her mother supposedly did that while I was imprisoned in Azkaban" he said "How did she revert back?" he said "It was Katherine's cry that reverted her back giving her a reason to return" he said "You were the reason for Katherine to revert back then?" he said "Given everything leading up to it yeah I was". Remus brought Peter out of the tunnel he pleading for mercy Sirius said "Do you know I'm your godfather, you could come and live with me?" he said "I do know, so live with you and Katherine?" he said "If you want" Hermione said "Harry" the two turned and saw the full moon Remus transformed into a werewolf Sirius had to stop Remus he handed Katherine to Harry's arms he went to Remus Peter turned back into a rat and ran off Hermione, Ron, and Harry holding Katherine stood there in wake of Remus as a werewolf Snape alert came out of the tunnel to seeing the four and a werewolf he went to fight him with a wand. When Sirius as his dog animagus form to protecting his daughter from Remus Harry left Katherine in Hermione and Ron's care while he tried to help Sirius. It worked but Sirius hurt ran off Katherine awakened at least she seemed like it, it must've been the Phoenix she vanished in a blink of an eye she had to get to her dad before Dementors do. Harry found Sirius in unconscious state when Dementors came down giving Dementor Kiss to Sirius while Harry using the Patronus Charm to no avail Katherine walked across the icy waterways she said "Expecto Patronum" using every memory she had and then some unleashing her Phoenix  power onto the Dementors a phoenix patronus appeared afterwards sending them away along with a stag patronus then she vanished. 

         Lying in the hospital bed comatose with bandages on her body while Hermione told Harry that Sirius has been captured and that Dementors are going to suck out his soul he had to do something. When Dumbledore came in there Hermione and Harry tried telling him that no one would listen to two 13 year old wizards even truthful they are but giving them hints on doing such things he looked at Katherine all bandaged up he said "If one cares for a friend they would do anything for that friend even save their father, mysterious thing about time". After everything was said and done Katherine's reveal in the forest of the phoenix patronus to Harry and Hermione was strange Harry realized Katherine will always save her father never mind the consequences. As they saved Sirius by earlier saving Buckbeak he told Harry to tell Katherine to watch for the owls he said that they will tell her and her mother his location and they be a family again he said "I will" he said "My daughter is an exceptional witch tell her I'm proud of her" Hermione said "We will" he took off on Buckbeak and left. Having a few minutes to spare on getting back before the time-turner went into a endless loop greeted by Dumbledore wanting to know they were successful then denied knowing such things and leaving. Katherine was in Uncle Remus' office she saw him packing up she said "Let me guess, you're leaving?" he said "I'm not going anywhere you still see me at your mother's home for a visit and as I take it your father as well" she said "Finding the truth and knowing it so is fulfilled" he said "You didn't give up on him and that's something you renewed my faith in him which I owe you for, I also learned that Phoenix is strong in you and very picky about certain people" she said "I was told to fear the Phoenix but I guess it's just a part of me like everything else is" he said "Hope to see you soon, perhaps your birthday even" she hugged him. Katherine had packed her bags she saw out the window Harry flying on a Firebolt broom courtesy of her father as she looked out she began to glow she said "Perhaps next year be a whole lot of phoenix" her eyes took on red hue as she smiled off into the distance.
