 Part One:Entering Badlands

Chapter Fourteen// A Tale of the Missing

"Cam! Cam what on earth are you doing?!" the mother of Camilia Polisher watched her daughter pace from one spot of the couch to the next. Then she looked underneath the cushion of the couch. Her mother got up from her spot and looked at her daughter, "hun are you okay?"

Camilia looked at her. Her look was blank and obsilite, "yes mother I am fine. Just fine. Look I have to get going. Susan wants to go to Fry's."

Fry's just opened from down the street. It was much smaller than the other ones anyone is used to. Nothing is the same to be honest but the name. Interior was a msall town yet they have two small grocery stores. The thought was wierd yet Mrs. Polisher's mind wasn't thinking of the such thought. The only thought that was running through her mind was that her daughter called her mother. Her daughter usually either called her just mom or when times she wanted to be silly she would call her Faith Lee. Her first and middle name.

Faith Lee watched as Camilia left the living room and slammed the kitchen door. There was a sense of longing Faith wanted from her daughter. She was fourteen but things have changed more and more. She has wanted to put more makeup on lately. She wanted to hangout with her friends and have more sleepovers than have mother-daughter nights of watching movies. So Faith thought these actions was just part of the phase of growing up.

There was no way of chaning her daughter's way of growing up. She disiplined her and punished her but not to an extreme that Camilia sometimes deserved. She just thought it was the people she was hanging out with. She couldn't change it though. She couldn't change her daughter's look because the daughter would just rebel more. And rebeling against your own mother didn't seem to hurt anyone now and days. But Camilia did have somewhat some respect.

As she walked to the way to Susan's she felt someone watching her. That thought never really crossed her mind that someone was or even worse was following her. She has had that feeling for a couple of weeks now. Or was it days? Time goes by fast when everyone around is getting ready for high school and you would rather not grow up fully.

She got to the door of the Johnson's and she knocked on the door. She waited patiently and then the door was swung open. They both screeched.

"I swear I am going to get you the best gift!" Susan exclaimed.

Camilia shrugged and then shook her head, "Sus Christmas is like a month and a half away. Why are you worrying about it now?"

"Because Black Friday isn't enough Cam! It just isn't!" she throws her arms up as if that helps defending herself.

Her best friend shakes her head and laughs.

They had their arms locked tgether as they walked to the store. Nothing was said and they kept their destination to the store. There were cameras everywhere there was no doubt. But from there on the store didn't catch anything what happened.
