It had been a month of none stop phone calls and text messages between Alice and Fionn and today was the day that Fionn was finally coming to Los Angeles for the Dunkirk premier. It sent butterflies of in their stomach's each time they remembered they were going to be meeting each other. Both of them had feelings for each other, but neither had confessed.
Alice woke up to the bright sun shining through her blinds, creating shadows on her walls. Still not fully conscious, Alice turned around to sleep again until her mind woke her up, reminding her of what day it was. Her eyes jolted open as she laid stiffly and frozen on her bed, staring up at the bare ceiling above her. She could feel her heart beat like crazy, like it was trying to win a race. The premier would start at 1pm and Alice's were growing by the minute.
Since it was 10am, Alice had exactly 3 hours to get ready and travel to the venue. With her mind racing and her heart pounding, she dragged herself out of her warm bed and headed towards her bathroom.
After her shower, Alice stood in front of her closet for another 10 minutes as she wondered about what outfit to wear. Eventually she came to a decision to wear a dark red dress that had long sleeves. This outfit was perfect for today since it was quite chilly out yet also a formal event.
As she walked back to her bathroom she gathered her makeup and applied some to her face, making sure not to cake her face. Alice had decided to put some loose curls into her hair, to give it some volume. Finally pleased with her hair and makeup, Alice made her way back to her room to put on her heels, before heading down to her kitchen to have some breakfast.
Alice looked into her bag one more time, checking to make sure everything she'd need today was definitely in there. As she left her house and walked over to her car, a slight shiver sent down her spine, it was definitely chilly.
When Alice arrived to the venue, she had struggled for a few minutes to find a parking spot. The place was packed with people.
As she turned off her car ignition she pulled down the sun visor once more to check her hair and makeup. She wondered if people would recognise her, know who she was. But she doubted so.
She pushed open her car door and started to make her way over to the red carpet, taking a long and deep breath in when she reached it.
"Dude. Calm down. Everything will be fine" Harry said when he noticed how nervous Fionn was.
"But what if she doesn't like me? Or how I look? What if she didn't even come?"
"If you don't shut up I will punch you, and I'm not kidding. Everything is going to be fine, trust me" Harry said before he took a deep breath, "let's go"
The two of them got out of the limousine they were in and stepped onto the red carpet, which was packed with screaming girls.
Fionn thought about how all those girls were probably only here for Harry, but that didn't bother him as he knew that there was one girl, and the only girl he cared about, waiting for him to walk down the red carpet.
The boys continued to walk down the red carpet but Fionn was soon alone as Harry was stopped for an interview. However, not long after, Fionn was pulled aside for in interview as well, which made him even more nervous.
"Have you found her?" Harry asked while he caught up to Fionn.
Fionn shook his head, "no, not yet"
But that's when he spot her, the most beautiful girl in the world, looking around. Fionn felt his heart start pounding as he watched her, completely frozen.
"Run over to her" Harry said with a grin when he also spotted Alice.
"She's all alone"
"And she won't be anymore if you go over to her"
Fionn gulped and took a deep and long breath in before he started walking over to her, each step making him feel more nervous than before. Some of his fans started to call out his name when he got close to Alice, he felt like a coward to ignore them but all he wanted at that moment was to be with Alice.
Alice heard fans calling out Fionn's name which made her realise he was close by, that only made her even more nervous.
"Hey" she heard a familiar voice say.
Alice slightly turned around only to see Fionn standing before her, with that charming smile that stole her heart. The only thing that stood between them was the barricade, the gap was finally gone.
Everything felt like slow motion for the both of them, like the world had stopped turning. They couldn't even hear the fans screaming out to them anymore, in that moment, all they could see was each other, and that was already good enough.
"Hi" Alice replied with a shy smile.
And that was all it took for her, that one simple hey and she was hooked. And she finally, excepted the feelings she had for him.
"Wow, I can't believe it's you" Fionn said smiling brightly.
"Neither can I"
"I want you to sit with me when we go inside to watch the movie" Fionn said sweetly, but Alice was still confused.
"Don't worry, I'll organise it"
His voice was so calm and soothing, he was the sweetest and most caring boy she had ever met. He could make her feel better in any situation.
"Yeah okay, that sounds great" Alice said shyly, a huge smile still covered her face.
"Well I'll see you soon then. Once I've talked to the guards you will be able to stand with them until they let us in, then I'll pick you up" Fionn said.
Alice smiled at the boy before Fionn turned around to continue walking down the red carpet.
"Fionn!" Alice suddenly yelled out for no apparent reason.
Fionn turned around with a smile, "yes?"
"I'm so happy I met you"
His smile grew even bigger, which at this point seemed impossible.
"I'm so happy I met you too Alice" Fionn said smiling before he turned around again and walked off.
Alice was falling for so damn quickly, but this time, she was finally allowing it.
Hope you all had a great Christmas!! 💛
