"Alice? What are you doing here?" Alice's mom asked in confusion and shock.

"I came to see you" Alice replied quietly.

"You're dad and I are just about to leave for work honey. You know how busy we always are" Alice's mother said.

This was enough to convince Alice that she wasn't missed, she wasn't wanted. They weren't even willing to miss a few hours of work for their daughter who they haven't seen for months. Not like they saw her much when she lived with them anyways.

"Yeah no of course you do. Go to work, it's super important" Alice replied coldly, she felt her heart slowly break.

Her mother sighed, "Alice.."

"Just shut up mom, I don't fucking give a shit anymore. All I wanted was to spend time with you guys, my boyfriend has been acting strange lately and all I fucking needed was for my parents to cheer me up like parents are supposed to do when their child is upset. But who was I kidding?! You guys never even had time for me when I lived here so why would you now? Not like anything changed. So yeah, go to work, like you always do. Keep pushing me away, one day you'll lose me for good!" Alice yelled before she stormed off, ignoring her mother's calls.

Alice ran through the pouring rain and quickly got into her car. As soon as she got her engine to start she sped off. Tears started to pour down her face as she drove through the narrow streets, barely seeing a thing through her own tears and the rain.

It was when her tears were filling up her eyes that she noticed things were getting dangerous, so she decided to pull over on the side of the road.

She just screamed and cried as the rain crashed loudly onto the roof of her car. Her life was falling apart again, but this time faster and harder than ever. She was really losing her parents this time as well as losing the one person she loves with all her heart.

Why? Why is this happening to me?

Alice's hands were shaking as she reached for her phone and typed in Fionn's number. She let the call dial all the way through to his voicemail and hung up as soon as it started.

Of course he didn't pick up, not like he has for a while.

Not knowing what to do, Alice scrolls through her contacts, her fingers hesitate for a second before she finally clicks dial on Liam's number.

This was the only person she could think of that would pick up. Everyone else she's close to would be busy.

"Hey!! Didn't think you'd call this quickly but I'm not complaining!!" Liam laughed, "what's up?"

Alice tried to speak but couldn't, it was like she lost control over her whole body.

"Alice? you there?"

Alice sniffed, "L-Liam, I-I, please come find me. I'll send you my location"

And with that she hung up. She quickly sent her location to Liam over text and then opened her car door.

She wasn't sure what she was doing but she needed to get out of her car.

She was on a busy road in a forest like area. It was the road she would always take to get to her house if she was in this side of town.

When the emotions came flooding back she dropped to the ground and sobbed. Her body was soaked and dripping from the rain which left her freezing cold. She was shaking uncontrollably and her crying made it hard for her to breath.

She felt like she was suffocating, like she was falling away.

Her head began to spin and everything went blurry, she tried desperately to fight back, to stay awake, but with everything combined she barely couldn't.

But then in the faint distance she suddenly heard a male voice call her name.

Her eyes were shut so she couldn't see who it was but she slowly opened them, blinking a few times to adjust her eyesight.

"Alice??! What happened??! Are you okay??!" Liam cried out.

He dropped down beside her and wrapped his jacket around her small shivering body before he held her tightly in his arms.

"Hey shhh, its okay, its okay" Liam said calmly while he stroked her heard, trying to calm her sobs.

"I'm taking you back to mine okay? I'll pick your car up later" Liam said and Alice nodded.

He carefully picked her up and carried her over to his car before placing her into the front passenger seat.

She rested her head against the window and fell asleep instantly, not even noticing Liam getting into the car after a while and starting the engine.

He quickly drove off to his house which wasn't too far away from where he had found Alice. Every now and then he would look over his shoulder to check on Alice, who was sleeping peacefully beside him.

His heart ached as he wondered who could've done this to her and what they did. This girl didn't deserve to cry, she didn't deserve to be this sad. And he was willing to do anything to make her happy again.

When he finally arrived to his house Alice was still asleep so he quietly got out of the car and walked over to her side. When he opened her door and unbuckled her seatbelt he picked her and all of her things up and carefully carried her inside his house.

He had a large sofa where he placed Alice on and made sure to tuck her into a blanket. When he was done he just looked down at her, admiring how peaceful she slept.

To Liam, Alice was the most beautiful girl he had ever seen. It killed him that she was in a relationship, but maybe her boyfriend was the reason she was crying, maybe they had broken up, maybe this was his chance to get closer to her, to show her that he wants her.

Maybe, just maybe, she'll want him too.
