The song The A Team by Ed Sheeran played as Alice sat on her bed. She reached for her phone which was on her bedside table, the charging cord just being long enough to let her sit on her bed comfortably. She had decided that it was time to update her twitter profile picture since it was a few months old, posing in different angels to get the perfect picture.

She clicked tweet and turned off her phone, her book still laid beside her. She got hold of it and opened it to the page she was up to. Within minutes she was back in the book, completely zoned out of reality. She didn't even hear her parents come home until she realized her mum was standing by her bedroom door. Alice looked up and turned down her music.

"Dinner will be ready soon" her mum said.

Alice nodded and her mum turned around to leave. She decided to get out her phone and check twitter once again since an hour or so had passed since she was last on it. She was shocked to see that her phone was blowing up, yes she has quite a lot of followers and yes her tweets get a lot of likes but this was just crazy. This had never happened before, she was getting crazy amount of likes and replies just on this one tweet of her profile picture.

As Alice saw this her heart stopped. Trying to calm down she decided to turn off her phone.

"Fuck get it together Alice, it's just Fionn. He just liked it" she said to herself and took a deep breath.

After a while she was calmed down enough and got out her phone again. She went to her notifications and scrolled through them. Alice found herself smiling at all the nice comments everyone was saying about her.

Once again her hearts stopped. It's not Harry Styles, but it's Fionn Whitehead. Aka one of her faves. Lets also not forget that Alice is a complete fangirl. As she put down her phone she raised her arm and rested her head in her the palms of her hands. She could feel her heart pounding, it felt like it was about to jump out of her chest. Alice tried to control her breathing in hopes that it'd calm her down. Which luckily, it did.

"Alice!! dinner!!" her mum yelled from downstairs.

She sighed while she got up from her bed and walked downstairs. When she entered the dining room she could smell the delicious dinner perfectly. As she sat down on a chair her parents started placing the food down on the table before they both sat down. They all served themselves before eating their dinner and talking about how work was. The topic of Alice not going to university came up again, in which Alice replied she would be taking a gap year.

"Well what do you want to do when you're older?" Alice's dad asked.

Alice shrugged while looking down at her food, "I don't know yet"

Her parents sighed and continued going on about how she needs to start thinking about her future because she is not in high school anymore. She knew that she needed to start planning for her future but she had no idea what she wanted to do, and since she is taking a gap year she really couldn't care less at the moment.

After dinner Alice helped her parents with the dishes before walking upstairs back to her room. She got changed into a plain white shirt and some comfy pants before getting back into her bed. She got her phone again to check twitter. Looking through her notifications she still can't believe Fionn Whitehead liked her tweet then followed her.

She plugged her earphones into her phone and chose out music as she put the earbuds in her ears. She closed her eyes and rested her head back on her pillow as she listened to the song playing. After a few songs Alice decides to check twitter once again, maybe secretly to see if Fionn had maybe liked her other tweet she had tweeted a few minutes ago. Her notifications were bombarded with people liking her tweet and replying to her tweet but amongst all that chaos she saw,

A smile grew on her face as she saw the notification. She decided to go through all of her replies on both of her tweets and liked all of the comments about her, while reporting all the hate comments about her. The hate doesn't really get to Alice anymore, at first when she started getting popular the hate would crush her but she's learned to deal with it now.

@fionnwofficial messaged you.

Her heart stopped. For a second she forgot how to breathe, her hands were shaking as she slowly opened Fionn's messaged.

"This isn't happening" she said with closed eyes.

Her eyes had to read the message a few times just so that her brain would process the words. She had absolutely no idea what to reply with.
