12 | darkness

She came closer, step by step. "Why are you looking like that?", she asked me. After all what she did in the past, I had no will to see her. She laughed evilly and gripped my hair, making me lifting my chin to meet her face. "I asked you something, so answer...!", she grinned. I wanted to scream, to run, to push her away, but I couldn't. Her control over me was too strong. I glanced to my side. Slowly the darkness faded. "Uh, looks like you have been saved. Don't worry, we'll meet again... soon.", she mentioned and let go of me. She walked backwards, slowly getting blurred away in the darkness.

"Now open your eyes.", a voice commanded me. I lifted my eyelids and found Hitoshi Shinso from class 1b right in front of me. I was kneeling on the ground, my hands covered in blood. Shinso handed me tissues, "My quirk could be a little useful after all." I thanked him and Shinso left, right after that Shouto rushed to me. "Are you okay?", he asked and hugged me tight, not giving me the chance to answer. "You made me worry so much, why did you fall all of a sudden? What happened?", shouto attacked me with questions. I was still in shock and wanted to leave this packed and busy place. Shouto understood me, he intertwined our fingers and took me with him.

We arrived at a darker and more quiet place, a rooftop. There was nobody around us. We both sat on a bench, Shouto hugged me once more. "Don't worry, I'm fine now.", I giggled at his worried actions. Shouto sighed and scratched his head. This all was not fine actually. I held his hand and shoved closer to him. "What all did you see?", I asked shouto. I only know that I talked to my mom. But it was not here in this place. It was in a place were I had no control but at the same time, it was a place only we two could meet.

"You were running and suddenly fell. Your eyes were closed however you were murmuring.", Shouto explained. So they really didn't saw my mom. "I met my mom.", I brought out and made Shouto flinch. His eyes were filled with fair, but not because of me hurting others. His eyes were filled with the fair of losing me again. "You're fine now, right?", he asked. I wrapped my arms around his neck. "Nothing will separate us again.", I comforted him. As your feelings for someone grow stronger, so does your fear of loosing them.

When Shouto calmed down a bit and got more comfortable, we watched the stars together. "You remember you told me the star that was on the right of the moon was yours?", Shouto said while he pointed at it. "Yes that is my favorite star.", I smiled bright. This was not our first time watching stars. It was something what we did frequently when we were kids. "Himm and what was my favorite star? Do you know that?", he challenged me. It was the star right bellow mines. -'Wherever you are, I want to be next to you.'- were Shouto's words. That is also the reason why his favorite star, is the one that is the closest to mines. I giggled and looked at shouto. "That one right there!", I pointed to the star. He smiled and patted my head. "Let's be together forever.", Shouto quoted.

It was very late so Shouto and I went home. I took my keys out of my pocket. Nobody was home today, even the maids. My dad was at his work. Being home alone is still... scary for me. After I opened the door, I expected my cat to welcome me. Even she was sleeping. I sighed and hurried to my room. Acting like nothing happened was hard. It was all for Shouto. I didn't want him to worry or to be sad. After I left my bag in my room, I went downstairs.

Of course I was scared and it all was dangerous. My mom, the person who left me and my dad for his villain family came to meet me. Why did she come back and what is she planning to do? Her words branded in my mind, leaving a remark. "We will meet again, soon", I repeated her words. I got scared and took my phone. Unfortunately my dad didn't took my calls. I messaged him and his assistant. They didn't responded.

I have no connection with them. It's time to secure myself, by myself I thought. I locked the door. Took some energy drinks from the fridge and sat on the ground. How closer to the source, how stronger the power. These are basics I learnt from my dad and family. I was trembling. I slowly placed my hands on the floor and tried to focus. I wanted to build a negative energy absorbing shield around the house. My dad's house is huge, but I can't let my guard down. "Calm down, calm down.", I told myself.

"Meow?"

I gasped, I almost had a heart attack. It was miyu, my cat. "Hey, did I woke you up?", I asked while I stroked trough her fur. My hands got a sudden shock. I lifted her in the air. Her eyes were normal, no green shine. Yet, she was storing negative energy in her self. As long as I know my cat has no quirk. I reached for my phone again. My dad hadn't answered my text, the same for her assistant. Should I call shouto?

My fingers reacted faster than my mind. It was very late, maybe he was sleeping? "H-hello?", Shouto took my call. His voice was very sleepy. "Sorry for calling you at this hour. But I need to tell you. I-I am very scared now. It feels like someone is watching me..", I stuttered. Without any doubt Shouto hung up and made his way to my home. I opened the door and welcomed him. "Don't be scared, I'm here now.", he whispered in my ear while he wrapped his arms around me. I was sobbing but a part of me felt relieved after Shouto came.

Shouto took of his jacket and I led him to the living. "This is my first time here, not very surprising that this place is huge though.", Shouto joked. I asked if he wanted to drink tea or coffee, rather than drinking shouto wanted me to sit next to him. "Was it save to invite me this late?", Shouto teased. I sighed, It was not the time to joke around. I laid my head on his shoulder. It was a very hectic day, so I was tired. "We will meet again...", I murmured. Shouto lifted his eyebrows. "Don't think about that now and sleep. Tomorrow is a brighter and better day.", he reminded me. I closed my eyes trying to forget what happened. Let's hope for a 'better tomorrow' Shouto.

Next morning

It was already morning. The sunlight shined in my eyes. "Goodmorning, young lady. How was your sleep?", I heard a voice speaking sarcastically. Shouto was still sleeping. I tried standing up without disturbing him. My dad was sitting on his armchair, drinking his morning-coffee. "Was it fun to take advantage of your dad who was working?", He asked while he was reading his news paper. What is he talking about? "Pretty girls like you shouldn't invite boys to their homes, AT MIDNIGHT.", he set his tone at the last part. He was the one who didn't take his calls. So he has no right to accuse me. "Dad, you didn't take my calls. I was scared and Shouto was the only person I could reach.", I explained. My dad was not convinced. He told the maid to prepare the table for breakfast.

"Wake your boyfriend up and get ready for breakfast, we need to talk more.", He said nonchalantly and turned around. I hate when my dad acts like this, it pisses me off. I gently rubbed Shouto's cheeks. "Goodmorning...", I whispered. He yawned and stretched his arms.  "I think it's time to go for me..", He said standing up. If I want him to stay, I would ask too much. "Then see you at scho-" , I wanted to say goodbye. But a voice from behind interrupted me.

"You're having dinner with us, so stay."
