❝I can't believe it...❞

Scarlett's POV

I was carefully lying down on the sofa, scooping ice cream from the container.

In the last few days, I had gone through about ten of these. It just helped my cravings.

It was around six on the evening, and I was just balancing the tub on my belly, scooping out more ice cream. Benedict jumped to my side and grabbed it.

"Hey!" I said, my mouth stuffed with ice cream.

"You've had enough..." He dipped his finger into it and licked the ice cream off his finger. I dumped the spoon into the tub.

"I've lost my appetite." Sighing, I stared at the television, watching 8 simple rules. Another comedy I loved.

"Oh, remember we're meeting Paul and Lucy in about an hour and a half." I frowned, and slowly turned to look at him. "What?" I lifted an eyebrow. "Did I... not... tell you?"

I shake my head. "Aw damn!"

"Ben!" I moan. "What's happening?"

"Well, you're lucky I've already booked a babysitter. She the best one I've found-"

"Shut up and get to the point!" He clears his throat.

"R-right. Sorry. Well, I... It's a double date thing. A nice... romantic... cool restaurant." He reached his arm over me and kissed the top of my head. "Perfect for us." I look up at him and press my lips onto his, smiling.

"Well, I better get ready." Leaning on Benedict, I get up. "Hoping I fit into my nice dresses. But I seriously doubt that."

I wallow up the stairs and go to my room, pulling out my clothes and lay them onto the bed.

Then, Benedict walks in.

"Hey, I'm just going to grab my smart stuff." Pulling out another hanger, he scurried out of the room.

I try about three dresses on, all now even going as far as my chest.

And then, I notice one. Just one I had left over from when I was pregnant with Chrissy. It was cream and baggy and sorta perfect.

So I pulled it on and twirled in the mirror.

"Perfect..." My mouth curled into a smile and I comb my hair, put on mascara and applied my purple lippy.

I was ready and slowly walked down the stairs, wear Benedict was waiting.

"You look lovely." I huffed.

"You have to say that." He chuckled.

"Let's go. By kids!" We hear hurrying, light footsteps and they gush towards us with their arms open.

"Bye Mommy, bye Daddy!" They said in unison and then we left for the restaurant.

The baby kicked lightly as we drove their, but I was able to control it.

Once we got their, I was very happy to see Paul and Lucy together.

"Oh my God Scarlett!" Lucy squealed and wrapped her arms around me. She gasps. "You're glowing!"

Benedict and Paul hugged each other and we all sat down.

"Hey sis, I hear they have a strawberry cheesecake ice cream." Paul comments and I bite my lower lip.

"You're paying, right?" I giggled and we chose our entrées.

As we waited for the good, we gossiped. Talked about work, the baby and the food.

Benedict had held my hand under the table and never stopped smiling at me.

His smile made my feel safe and secure. And happy.

Always happy.

However, my own smile faded when I set eyes on a women at the bar. She looked familiar.

Then I realised who it was.

"Scar, what is it?" Benedict asked. My baby was kicking too.

"It's her... The women who kissed you..."
