A Different Type of Love Story!

Chapter 3 -Saving Jade.

               After school,I didn't feel much like going home, so I decided to drive out about ten miles to the next town. They had a nice little burger shop down there so I figured I would go and get one.

               I knew I would be late again, but I still didn't care. I hadn't got in trouble before and I was pretty sure I wouldn't now. As I walked in I could smell the burgers grilling on the grill. The burger shop was nice inside other than the grease stains on the tables. The floor was black and white checkered, the walls where red, and the booth seats looked like a leather seat of a car.

             I ordered a cheese burger plain, the way I liked it. Then a strawberry milkshake. After I finished I thought for a while about what happened today then figured I should leave.

       " Where have you been Mr.!?" My mother said as I walked though the door.

       " Mom, I was just outside of town getting a burger. That's all. I'm perfectly fine."

       " Well I'm glad your perfectly fine but your father and I aren't! You got out at three and now it's seven! I hate to do this Drew, but your grounded. You are to go to school and football practice, thats it for two weeks unless I say!"

         " Fine!" I yelled and went up to my room slamming the door behind me.

         I spent the whole night working on my Geometry homework. That's the one thing I don't like and I'm not good at it. Around eleven I just quit and went to sleep.

        The next morning I got up around six thirty and went down stairs yawning, as I poured myself a bowl of cheerios. Neither mom or dad where up yet and I was glad, because I was still mad about last night. Even though I did deserve it.

       I put my bowl in the sink and grabbed my book bag. I walked outside of the house and said hello to our next door neighbors that had lived there for years. Mr. and Mrs. Phillips. Then I got into my Chevy pickup truck and turned on the music loud as I pulled out of the driveway.

       When I got to school I pulled in by Leelee's little Blue Volkswagen bug. I got  out and stood by her door watching her put on mascara. Then I leaned in and kissed her.

        "Happy Thursday, class!" Mr. Burgess, our Geometry teacher, shouted. "Hand in your homework to the person in front of you and have them pass it to me."  I turned around to get Jason's homework from him, when he passed his homework to me, he also passed a note to me that had my name on it. Mr. Burgess was on the other side of the room so I figured I would be safe to read it.

       The note read:              Hey Babe, I can't wait for Friday <3

       I closed the note rolling my eyes. Atleast I get to get out of this one sense I'm grounded. When I looked up I saw Mr. Burgess looking down at me. Great.
