Regret

I finally got home and I was cold as hell. My baby is probably frozen in there. Time for a hot shower I guess.

I turned on the shower and got ready to hop in and stand in the warm water. The steam from the water was fogging up the mirror so I hopped in and sighed happily. This felt nice. I began to put shampoo in my hair as I started to hum.

When I was done, I turned off the shower and wrapped a towel around me. I opened my bathroom door and walked into my room.

I changed into warm pj's and sat in my warm, comfortable bed. This is heaven. I put on netflix and watched it until I got sleepy.

"Myra, someone's here for you!" My mother yelled from downstairs I'm guessing. Great, now I have to get up in my pj's.

I walked downstairs and towards the door. I peaked outside and found Xander covered in snowflakes from head to toe. He looked frozen.

"Um, can I come in? My truck broke down over there," he spoke, pointing towards his black truck. I sighed and opened the door wider for him to come inside. He walked in, shivering from the cold outside.

"I'll leave you two teens alone," my mother told us, trying to hold back a grin from the way she kept looking away to hide it. She ran upstairs to her bedroom like a cat running away from a dog.

I turned to look at Xander to apologize, but he spoke instead.

"I'm not hear because I want to be here," he frowned. "I'm only here because my truck just had to break down near you, okay?"

"Okay.." I whispered, taking a deep breath. "Do you want hot chocolate, or coffee? Maybe even a blanket?"

"Yeah," he mumbled, sitting down on the couch in the living room. Rude.

I walked into the kitchen to boil some water. He's getting hot chocolate I guess. While that was boiling, I put the hot chocolate mix into two mugs. I quickly ran upstairs to bring Xander an extra blanket for him to warm up in.

"Can you hurry up! I'm freezing over here!" he yelled from the living room. Fucking bitch, hold your horses.

"I'm trying!" I yelled back angrily.

I poured the hot water into the two mugs and walked over to him with the mugs in my hand and the blanket over my shoulder.

"Here," I muttered, handing him his hot chocolate and the fuzzy blanket. "Anything else you want?"

"I think I'm good, thanks," he smirked, drinking some of his hot chocolate. I took a seat on the other couch and looked at the blank TV hanging on the wall. We both sat in the room in silence just drinking our hot chocolate.

I bit my lip, trying to hold in my guilt, but the guilt got the better of me. "I'm sorry for assuming things about you, Xander!" I blurted out, looking at him surprised at my outburst. He looked at me and raised his eyebrow.

"What?"

"I'm sorry, Xander," I told him. "I don't know what happened! Maybe I was scared and didn't want to believe that the whole thing ever happened and I was stuck in an endless dream. I really don't know, but I do know that I'm sorry."

"I heard you the first time," he laughed, setting the mug down on the coffee table. I glared at him and put the hot chocolate down.

"You are a dick," I groaned, laying on the love seat.

"Does that make you the bitch?" he smirked, looking at me.

"I guess it does," I sighed, closing my eyes. I heard footsteps walking over to me, then I felt on my stomach. I opened one eye and found Xander looking at my stomach with pain in his eyes.

"I'm sorry my baby," he whispered quietly, but loud enough for me to hear. I smiled slightly at the sight of Xander apologizing to our unborn child. When he was finished, I stood up off the couch.

"Where are you going?" Xander asked.

"To feed our baby," I answered, walking to the kitchen again. "You hungry?"

"Kinda," he replied, walking into the kitchen behind me. I pulled out a bag of popcorn and threw it in the microwave.

"What do you want?" I asked, digging in the fridge. No response. I tried to turn around, but arms wrapped around my waist and lips connected with my neck.

"Xander.." I whispered, trying to get away from his grip. I don't want him near me. I mean I do, but I'm not risking my heart to get thrown away again, even if he isn't a player like I thought. Julian wasn't a player, but I still found out he cheated.

"Just go with it," he mumbled while leaving kisses on my neck and shoulder.

"Could you cut it out, I'm trying to cook here," I grumbled, trying to dig in the fridge again.

"You really ruin the mood," he sighed, letting me go.

"A girl needs to eat," I responded, digging in the fridge once he let me go. He chuckled from behind me and I smiled.

"And a certain boy missed talking to a certain girl," he replied. I blushed and pulled out yogurt.

"Well I'm sorry that the little thing growing in me is hungry and ruined your mood," I smirked, grabbing a spoon from the drawer.

"You never answered my question," he spoke. I raised an eyebrow at him, obviously confused by what he meant.

"What question?" I asked.

"Will you go to the Winter Formal with me?"

"Hm..I got to think about it," I said, tapping my chin with my spoon. "I thought about it..I'm good. I want to stay home."

"Really?"

"Yup."

"You're serious?"

"Yes I am."

"Well..I'm going to have to change your mind," he declared.

"What do you mean?" I asked, looking at him scared by what he was going to do.

"Just wait and see Jenson," he smirked. "Just wait and see."

I better not regret saying no..
