Chapter 7: Control

*Jasmine's POV before killing Laurent and saving Bella*

I replay Jacob's words over and over in my head as I pace back and forth. The look in his eyes were so cold.

'He doesn't want me. How can this be? Am I unlovable?'

'That Jacob boy is a fool Jasmine. He can not even see that Bella girl is only using him to make herself better. I could have tore him apart for hurting you.'

I smile a little at that as I step out onto the porch so I can watch the afternoon sun through the trees.

'Thank you, Pardus. I really appreciate that.'

'You're welcome my dear. Do you smell that?'

I sniffed the air and I faintly catch the scent of bleach.

'Ugh. It smells like bleach. A vampire must be near by.'

'My thoughts exactly. Jasmine, let me take over.'

This takes me by surprise. Pardus rarely wants to take over, especially after what happened.

'Are you sure Pardus?'

'Yes.'

'Okay.'

I breathe deeply and I concentrate as I switch places with Pardus and allowed her to take control for the first time ever since the incident.
