Geography class.
My mind raced back and forth.
Depersonalization?
I'd looked it up and discovered there was another similar disorder.
It was called derealization disorder.
Apparently, it made the world around you seem fake and pointless.
Like it's a dream.
"Molly!"
I snapped back to reality to see Sir glaring at me from the front of the classroom.
"Have you been listening to a word I've been saying?"
The whole class turned in their seat to look at me.
I felt the eyes of people behind me burning into my neck.
Idiot.
I felt my cheeks grow hotter and my breathing rate quickened.
I thought I was going to pass out.
"Just... stop daydreaming will you? You're here to learn!"
He said it almost jokingly, but for some reason I had to force back tears.I looked down, avoiding eye contact with anyone and whispered a quiet, but just about audible, "s-sorry sir."
I didn't look up for the rest of that lesson.
