Chapter Nine:

Caroline's POV

I wake up and Karen is beside me, sleeping. I stand up and go to the bathroom, wash my face and brush my teeth. I hate the routine. When I go back to the room Jossie is watching the tv. "She sleeps like a bear" She says pointing at Karen. "I know, what time is it?" Jossie looks at the clock on the nightstand. "Umm, 7:30 am" Well, its really early. "I'll take a shower" I say and grab my outifit. I decide for a white skater skirt, a white and purple/pink crop top and white platform sandals. The white girl. I take a quick shower and put my outfit on, pretty nice. I put some makeup and curl my hair. Knock knock. "Caroline! I want to pee!" I hear a voice. I open the door and Karen runs inside. "Well, I need privacy girl!" I go out and Jossie already has her outfit on. Half hour later we are at a mexican restaurant taking breakfast. "Want to go to the beach today?" My aunt asks. "Yeah, wait on Cali?" I ask. "Yes, so better hurry up!" Cali, Cali, Cali. My dream.

*Some hours later*

The Cali sign looks amazing, I can't believe I'm here! God. We go to Santa Monica beach and have a good time, then we go to a seafood restaurant to eat lunch. "I need to go to the bathroom" I say and stand up "I'll go with you" Karen says. We go and when we go back a boy stops me. "Um you're Caroline?" He asks. I'll describe him to you, taller than me, very handsome, brown hair with hazel green eyes and snapback, Oh and red vans. "Yeah, that's me. Why?" I ask. "Well, umm..." he starts "This is for you and umm this too!" He says and handle me an envelope with crazy colors and then he also gives me a white piece of paper. "My name is Tom, nice to meet you" He says with a smile. I'm speechless, Karen taps my shoulder and I'm back in reality. "Oh, nice to meet you too!" I say "Well I gotta go, can I see you again?" He asks me, wait what? "Yeah sure" I say and he kisses my cheek, then he leaves. "What was that?" Karen ask me. "Well i don't know but he's really handsome!" I say, we laugh and go back to the table. They already paid, I take the envelope and the piece of paper and put it on my bag. I'll read it later. We start to walk and go to different shops like Sephora, Ulta, Brandy Melville, Urban Outfiters, VS, Bath and body works and a lot more. My hands are full with bags, its like my first shopping ever. "Why don't you read the things that guy gave to ya?" Karen ask me while we are on a froyo shop. "Okay, okay" I say and I first take the white paper from the bag. I open it and there is write:

Nice to meet you Caroline, hope we can go out or something. Send me a message so we can talk.

See ya beautiful.

Wait, WHAT? this is the most weird day of my life. I handle the paper to Karen and she reads it. "Wow, second day in Vegas and you already have a boyfriend!" She says and I laugh. "Your ass! the only thing I know about him is his name and his phone number, no more and I want to be alone now ya know?" I ask, she nodds. "Yeah I know, but you blushed! Haha Caroline has a boyfriend.." She starts to sing and I laugh again. My family its on a table and we are ordering our topics for the froyos. We go back and start to talk with my fam about the day and random things. "Well, we gotta go" My aunt says and we all nodd. The trip beggins again. We are walking to the car now and Karen taps my shoulder so fast. "What?" I ask and she just point on something across the street. Then I see him, Tom is on the other side of the street waving his hand to us. I wave back and give him a warm smile, he smiles back and giggles. "Who's that?" Jossie ask "Caroline's boyfriend" Karen says and I pat her on the head. "He isn't my boyfriend!" I say and they all laugh "Its okay to have a boyfriend honey" My aunt says, they're joking right? Thanks Tom. The trip starts and when we pass beside Tom I can hear him scream "See ya beautiful!" Something better than this? I don't know. The trip is very silent, well at the end cuz when it started they couldn't talk about other thing but Tom. I love my family. We all want to sleep, this day was very tired. My feet hurts and I need a shower. We finally arrive to the house and go to our rooms. I put the bags beside my suitcase and change my clothes. I do all my "ritual" before sleep (brush my teeth, wash my face and pee) and I go to the bed. Karen is sleeping and I do the same. I forget about the colorful envelope and Tom.
