"Pathetic. And I thought you would be the perfect one to do the task. Pfft." The creature looked up at Nightmare and to his horror, it was like he was being soaked in the black goop that was pouring out from the blaster. Then, suddenly, he was in a different place. Nightmare peered around at the magical looking place. There were crystals and clean grass and rocks laid about. The air smelled sweet. He wished it could always be like this, even though he always pretended the only thing he ever loved was his brother. But, along a strip of the crystals lead to a tree. It had the familiar feeling of family. Of light, of love. But there was darkness spreading across it, like lightning bolts of black. It had sharp edges, like knives, and it pierced the tree, striking it down. Nightmare rushed across the darkening grass and crystals to find Dream laying limp on the ground next to the tree, which was black now - on BOTH sides. "DREAM! BRO! ARE YOU ALRIGHT?" Nightmare knelt at his brother's side, trying to hold him up and he blinked through the ashes, trying to see Dream's face through them. "DREAM! WAKE UP! COME ON!" But then it was gone, and there was nothing he could do, and there Nightmare was again, staring into the face of the unknown, the tar and blackness surrounding him. "So you wish to die?"
"What have you done? I could have saved him!" Dream's eyes were filled with tears as if the apple he called his soul was turning into liquid and coming out of his eyes. "WHAT DID YOU DO TO HIM?!" "I-I didn't do anything to him-" "YOU DID! IT'S YOUR FAULT! YOU GLITCH!" Dream looked as if he were losing his voice now, he put his gloved hands over his eyes and fisted them. Error stepped back into the room through the smoke and looked down at him, seeking something that wasn't revenge for once. "I'm... Sorry..." Dream didn't answer, but he did use one hand to grab his wand and stood closer to Error. "You're nothing but a glitch, and you'll always be one. No matter what!" He twisted the weapon and hit Error so hard in the face he might have then killed him. There was no sign of it hitting him - no noise of his face being smacked. After the smoke cleared from around Error, he was visible again, clearly fine. No injuries at all. "I think my glitches have had enough for a while." The white, gray, and black glitches whirling around him had disappeared from his face and Dream realizes they had moved so he didn't get hit. "How did you do that?" Ink asked from behind Dream. They both looked at him - they had forgotten that he was there the whole time. "They have a mind of their own, don't ask me!" Dream glared at him. "THIS ISN'T ABOUT YOU! STOP TALKING ALREADY!" He gasped through his tears. "Well sorry, you were both talking about me, so...-" Dream dropped his wand and rushes to the door, slamming it as he left. "Wow, okay then," Error said, shrugging.
