I was about to shut my locker when I felt a presence next to me. I moved my door to see Sergio leaning against the lockers. He shut my locker for me with his foot and moved in closer.
"I'm having my friends Ronaldo and Mauricio over tonight to sleep over! Care to join us?" he said with a grin.
I hesitated slightly, and was about to reply before Sergio spoke again.
"I know your friends Kay and Monse have a thing for my friends. Perhaps, you could bring them along? Then you wouldn't feel so outnumbered."
"We'd love to," I heard a voice say from behind. I turned around to see Kay standing there with Monse by her side.
Man, do people like to sneak up on me today!
"We'll be there. 7 o'clock. Sharp."
"Perfect!" Sergio said with a smile before putting his hands in his coat pockets and walking off.
"Kay!" I screeched. I started to get some stares from people around us so I lowered my voice. "What are you doing?! You know my parents won't let me go!"
"What? I thought it would be good for you! Plus you'd get to spend some time with Sergio, if you know what I mean," she said with a wink.
"Oh, whatever."
TIME SKIP
"Kay I'm really nervous, what if they have alcohol there?" I said while messing with my coat sleeve.
"They won't have any, and I'm sure you'll be fine. You just have to relax and be yourself," she said while turning the wheel.
I looked in the mirror of the car to see my brown locks falling over my face. I tried to do this braid thing that wrapped around my head but I guess it was falling out.
Soon enough, we were there. I was so nervous I could literally feel the butterflies fluttering around in my stomach.
When we walked up to the door, we didn't even have to knock. Sergio opened it before we could do anything. He led us downstairs to the basement where Ronaldo and Mauricio were sitting on a tattered couch.
"What's up?" Ronaldo asked.
The three of us stood in the corner together, not saying a word.
"There's no need to be shy, we don't bite," Mauricio said.
TIME SKIP (yes again)
A couple hours later, we were still playing some dumb board game that Sergio's mom set out for us. No matter how many times Sergio tried to protest, his mom made us play. (Sorry this is starting to sound like a horror movie or something😂)
Everyone was starting to get tired, and it was only 11:30pm.
"How are we sleeping?" I asked.
"Well, about that," Sergio started.
"We don't have enough room, so 2 people will have to sleep on the couch, 2 on the mattress on the floor and 2 in Sergio's room," Mauricio explained.
"I call the couch!" Kay said.
"I call the floor mattress!" Monse said.
"I guess that means I'm sleeping in your room,"
I said to Sergio.
"Perfect!" Sergio exclaimed.
2 cans of soda later and I was sleeping with Sergio. I was actually SLEEPING with Sergio!
"I can't believe this is happening," I said to which I thought was myself but ended up saying it out loud.
"Me either," a voice piped up. I turned around and Sergio was looking at me with a grin.
"Abigail, I've been thinking about this for a while because something has been on my mind."
Now THIS got my attention so I scooted a little closer.
"I've liked you for a while, but I've never had the guts to tell you. Would you go out with me?" Sergio asked. I could see him wincing because of how cringy he sounded.
"Of course I will," I replied.
He came closer and gave me a hug, this time he tangled his legs with mine and slipped an arm around my waist.
"I love you," he said while leaning forward to kiss me on the forehead.
His lips were like two fluffy clouds upon my skin, and the kiss was as light as butterfly wings fluttering against me.
After he pulled away I could still feel where his lips were. The butterflies had returned to my stomach, but this time it wasn't from nervousness.
