"Can we see her?" your mom asked from the hallway. Both of your parents were trying to peek in as much as they could to get a glimpse of you.

"Yes mam, but she just woke up and we don't want to stress her out too much" the nurse gently reminde her. "She's in critical condition."

"Yes I understand."

The nurse allowed your parents to come in and see you. Your mom broke down at the sight. You had an oxygen tube taped around your nose, an IV in your hand which was already bruising from it, and there were plenty of scratches and bruises littering your body.

Your parents knelt down by the side of the bed and took your hands in theirs. They desperately whispered for you to wake up in hopes that you would hear even just a little of what they were saying. This coma was not taking you from them.

After a few hours of mourning over your unconscious yet peaceful body, your parents left the room to go back home and get some stuff in order to stay at the hospital all night.

While your parents were gone, a certain someone was frantically running down the halls trying to find you.

His name was (c/n), and while you didn't know it, he was madly in love with you which would have worked out nice since you had feelings for him, but looking at the state you were in, you couldn't exactly confess your undying love for him.

(C/n) placed a card, some flowers and a teddy bear on the stand by your bed. After making sure everything was set up, he sat in the seat next to the bed and grabbed your hand.

For a long while, all (c/n) did was hold your hand and rub it at a weak attempt to keep yours warm in some hope that you would wake back up.

(C/n) spent hours just sitting there, watching over you. He always made sure your blankets were covering you so you wouldn't get cold. He would play with your tangled and dirty hair (which was still beautiful to him).

Eventually (c/n) started to lose hope. Nothing was working and it didn't seem like you were going to wake up for a while.

As (c/n) was quietly leaving the room, he crept back in and remembered one thing that might actually work to wake you up.

He slowly walked over to your bed where he bent down over you. He gently pushed your hair out of the way, cupped your face in his hands and placed his lips upon yours.

When he pulled away, he expected you to immediately wake up, but nothing happened.

(C/n) slowly walked out of the room with his head down in shame. As he was leaving, he heard some rustling from behind him.

"(C/n)?" Your voice quietly croaked.

(C/n) quickly whipped around to the sound of your voice. He ran over to your bed and grabbed your hands in his.

"What happened? Where am I?" You asked.

(C/n) explained everything to you. How you got in a car accident with some friends which put you into a coma. He also explained how he came in and what he was doing in your room.

You couldn't believe (c/n) did this. Your dreams were finally coming true.

While (c/n) continues to ramble on, you quickly grabbed his face and kissed him. He stopped, before leaning in to kiss you again.

You may have just been in a coma, but your life was certainly going to get better soon.
