Btw if you don't live in America and you don't know what our version of football is, it's basically a game where you throw this ball and try to run to the other side of the field to score and there's a lot of tackling and stuff. Flag football is the safer version because instead of tackling someone, you pull the flag out from their belt and drop it on the ground.
(g/n)= Name of one of your crush's guy friends. You woke up with a groan. "Today is going to be crappy," you thought. Not only was it a Monday, but you had gym class and you HATE gym class. The only reason why you hate it is because you suck at sports and your crush is in your class. (Sorry if you like gym and/or you're actually good at it)
*time skip to whenever you have gym*
After warming up, your gym teacher announced that you guys were playing flag football. Since it was warm out and there wasn't enough space to play inside the gym, you had to play outside. You looked over at your best friend (b/f/n) and rolled your eyes. She gave a sympathetic look back.
(B/f/n) knew about your allergy problem and that you were basically allergic to everything. The grass in the spot where you play outside is always so dry and scratchy that whenever you fall, you get an allergic reaction.
*time skip to when you're actually playing*
You didn't even know how it happened. You were just waiting out in the open when....
BOOM.
Someone came and tackled you.
Your eye sight went blurry and your head immediately started to spin. Soon enough you couldn't even control your body and you just fell to the ground.
"HEY! HEY I SAID NO TACKLING. WE PLAY FLAG FOOTBALL FOR A REASON!" You heard heavy footsteps and saw your gym teacher crouching over you.
"Are you okay?" he/she asked.
You wanted to say something but for some reason you couldn't respond. All you could do was listen to the things people were saying.
"Man, (y/n) doesn't look okay."
"What happened?!"
"Dude, look! There are red spots all over her!"
"Alright, shut up!" your gym teacher said.
That's all you heard before the darkness crept into your eyes.
(c/n)'s P.O.V.
I glared at (g/n) before walking up to him. "What the heck do you think you're doing?!" I said while staring him down.
"I couldn't help myself man," (g/n) said. "I was goin' for da booty."
"Yeah, well look what you did! She could be seriously injured! You're lucky we aren't in school or I would beat the living hell out of you!" I said before turning away and walking off.
BACK TO YOUR P.O.V.
When you woke up, there was a throbbing pain in your head and your skin was really itchy. You could see light and shapes, but you couldn't really make out what they were.
"Oh my gosh, what if my eyesight stays like this forever?" you whispered.
You started freaking out but a hand squeezed yours and a voice reassured you.
"(Y/n), you're not blind. It will just take a while until your vision is back."
"(C/n)?" you asked.
"Yeah it's me."
"What happened?"
"Well, we were playing flag football when (g/n) tackled you."
"What an arse," you said jokingly.
"Don't worry," (c/n) said. "I'll make sure he never hurts you again." You smiled at him as he planted a quick kiss on your forehead.
"You mind?" (c/n) asked while glancing over at the empty space in your bed.
"Not at all," you said before moving over to give him even more room. As he sat down, you could feel (c/n)'s warm legs touch yours. He intertwined his left hand with your right.
"Hey," you thought. "Maybe today wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be."
