In My Arms, Again

Sabay na kaming umuwi nila Charlotte pagkatapos naming mag night club. Sa kanila muna ako natulog kasi sabi ni Kib na wala raw yung parents nila tapos dun daw muna siya matutulog kina achi Des para daw ma-solo ko si Charlotte. So nagpaalam ako kela mom na sa bahay muna ako nila Charlotte matutulog.

"Mom, pwede po bang kina Cha muna ako matutulog ngayon? Wala kasi siyang kasama. Nasa Davao po sila tito at tita."

"Saan pala si Kib? Wait muna, I'll bring your dad on the phone." I muttered an okay and waited for mom to be back with dad. Yep, even though I'm already 19, nagpapaalam pa rin ako sa kanila 'cause I don't want them na mag-alala sa'kin.

"Ricci? Saan pala si Kib?"

"Ah, doon daw po kela achi Des matutulog. Okay lang po ba, dad?"

"Oo naman! Just make sure na wala pang Ricci Jr. Pag-uwi mo ha? Hahahaha!"

"Dad naman!" Hays, parents ko talaga, napaka-kulit! That's why I love these two.

"Joke lang ano ka ba. O siya, sige na, uwi na kayo, baka mapuyat pa kayo niyan."

"Sige dad, good night!" I hanged up the phone at lumabas na kami ni Cha ng night club.

Sumakay na kami sa kotse ko at nag drive pauwi. This will be one night to remember.

"Cha, uuwi ba parents mo bukas?" I asked her.

"Yeah, bakit mo natanong 'yan?" She glanced at me.

"My family has a plan na sa Boracay mag celebrate ng New Year. Mom and dad wants to invite you and your family. Kaya, yun. Anong oras ba sila makaka-uwi?" Nandito na kami sa bahay nila. You can really feel the Christmas spirit sa bahay nila because of the decorations. Yung parang merong tao dahil agaw-pansin ang mga ilaw nito pero wala pala hahaha.

"Ay, okay. Dad said na maybe by 10 am, babalik na sila." I nodded nalang at pumasok na kasama si Cha.

Are we still in the relationship we had before? Or I'm gonna court her again? Well, I'm willing to do it as long as sagutin niya lang ako. I'm willing to do everything for her. Ganun ko siya kamahal.

"Hey, Cha, are we still in the relationship we had before? Or do you want me to court you again?" I smiled and she looked away. Wth, nahihiya ba siya? Ghad, she's so cute!

"Um, it's up to you. Whatever makes you happy, I'll support you. Akyat na tayo." I just laughed it off and dropped my bag sa may sala saka sumunod sa kanya sa taas.

"I'll just freshen up. Feel free lang, Cci ha?"

"Okay."

I examined everything around her room. Everything's the same, nothing changed. Nandun pa rin ang mga polaroid pictures namin na naka-hang sa iilang fairy lights malapit sa headboard ng bed niya. So cute, right?

After ilang minuto, lumabas na si Cha sa banyo. She's wearing the jersey na binigay ko sa kanya about two months ago na may nakatatak na apilyedo ko sa likod.

"It suits you, babe." She smiled. Naka topless lang ako ngayon at handa ng humiga katabi niya.

"You know what, di pa rin ako makapaniwala na we're back to what we used to be before. Thank you for doing your best, I love you so much."

"Aww, I love you too, Ccing." I missed how she calls me by my nickname.

We're already half asleep and she's lying down with her head on my chest. I miss this though. I covered us up with her thick white sheets to prevent us from the cold nights of December. I can't believe that she's right here with me, that she's finally in my arms, again.
