*Claire's POV*

It's been a few days since I told Dave the truth. I'm glad I did because I spent far too many years ignoring the way that I felt for him. I laid beside him, he was sleeping so peacefully. He almost looked angelic. He looked like a beautiful picture when he slept.

I decided I had enough just lying around so I decided to walk to the kitchen and make coffee. I left the room and Dave was still snoring lightly.

*Dave's POV*

When I woke up I noticed that Claire wasn't next to me. I got up and walked  downstairs to find that she was in the kitchen drinking a cup of coffee.

"Morning Dave." She said with a smile as she came and wrapped her arms around me.

"Good Morning Claire." I told her with a smile. I couldn't help but love the feeling when she hugged me.

"So what'dya wanna do today?" Claire asked me smiling as she took a drink of her coffee.

"I don't know, maybe a lazy day." I said not really wanting to go any where.

"Sounds good to me." She chirped as she grabbed my hand and lead me into the living room having us sit on the couch. Claire was always up for anything even being completely lazy.

     *Claire's POV*

"Dave?" I asked looking up at him, I was enjoying this lazy day with him.

"Yes Claire?" He spoke softly not taking his eyes off the T.V.

"I just want to thank you for being a part of my life. I have no clue the person I'd be without you." I told him grabbing his hand.

"It's never been a problem Claire. I've loved you since I met you." He told me me smiling like a dope.

Dave made me feel alive and like I was supposed to be living for something. It's was still fairly early in our lazy day when my phone rang.

"Hello." I said casually as I answered my phone.

"Claire, it's Rose. Do you remember me and the band Truth or Lie?" Rose asked immediately.

"Yeah I remember you guys what's up? How's the band coming?" I asked Rose, eager to hear what she had to say.

"Well Rod is dead, and we need your help." Rose said barely above a strangled whisper.

"How the hell did Rod die?" I asked Rose becoming very curious.

"He was murdered." Rose saidi could hear the strain in her voice.

"Oh my god so what did you need help with?" I asked wanting her to tell me.

"Yeah so will you be our new lead guitarist and lead?" Rose asked me.

"Rose I haven't played with a band in years honey, not since before Alex and hell it was even before the days I spent hanging around with Nirvana." I reminded her considering Turf or Lie was our band from highschool minus me.

"I know you haven't but please we all need the help. We're going on your with Foo Fighters and don't wanna have to cancel." Rose said as a last ditch effort to convince me.

"Fine I'll do it. We practice together tomorrow at noon." I told Rose smiling.

"Thank you Claire!" Rose said before she hung up the phone.

"So who was that Claire?" Dave asked as I hung up the phone.

"That was an old high school friend names Rose who needed some help so I with a little bit of convincing I agreed to help her." I said with a smile.

"Will I get to meet this Rose?" He asked looking at me expectantly.

"Yes because you're coming with me tomorrow." I told him with a smile.

"Are you sure you want me to come with you?" He asked a little shocked.

"Yes I want you with me." I told him grinning.

We didn't say much else, we just enjoyed the rest of our lazy day considering things going to get tough before they got considerably better. I knew that seeing Rose would remind me of who I was even before Dave knew me. He only knew me and what I was like from the nineties to present year. He didn't know me when I was a young dorky high school girl.

"Dave can you promise me something?" I asked him.

"Of course, what is it?" He asked me looking at me with a smile.

"Will you promise me that no matter what happens tomorrow that it won't change the way you feel about me." I said to him knowing he never look at me the same after tomorrow.

"I promise you Claire, nothing is going to change the love that I've always had for you." He told me as he hugged me tightly. I loved it when he did that. It made me feel safe and warm and fuzzy inside.

"Claire so what did Rose need help with?" Dave asked looking at me curiously.

"Well uhm, her band Truth or Lie; their front man Rod passed away and she wants me to step in. The thing is Truth or Lie was a band that Rose and I formed in high school. I walked away from the band my senior year in school. Since then they've replaced me and made it big. Now that Rod is gone Rose thinks I should take my band back essentially. I left because I was gonna be moving to Seattle. That's around the time I met you, Kurt and Krist." I told Dave smiling sheepishly.

"Really Truth or Lie was your band?" He asked.

"Always had been, but I didn't feel the need to make the rest of my friends start over in their dream so I let them use the name. Now that I'm planning on going back. A lot of our fans from the late 80s will probably freak out considering I played many live shows with Truth or Lie." I told Dave with a smile. He seemed surprised that I was in a band and left said band before I even met him and the guys of Nirvana.
