1992

It was a normal day, tour was ending with the final show in Seattle that day. We couldn't have been more happy to be hone. I was glad to finally come off the road. I had been on the road with the guys so long that I almost forgot what it felt like to be home in my own room. Kurt, Krist and Dave came over to hang out for a while after the show was over.

"Claire, when we go on tour again you're coming with again right?" Kurt asked.

"Only if you guys want me there." I said with a smile.

"Of course we do!" Krist said with a mock offended look.

I laughed and said I'd go with them again when the time came. Kurt and Krist wound up passing out in my living room. It was kinda funny.

Later on Dave and I went out to the park at like one in the morning and climbed on this roof top of a small building that sat in the park. It was beautiful and you could see the park in its entirety from where we sat on the roof.

"This is beautiful isn't it?" Dave asked.

"Yeah it is." I said with a smile. It was nice quiet nights with my best friend that made me smile.

*Two Weeks Later*

"Sorry." I said as I bumped into some stranger in my rush to get to the rehearsal place because they guys had called me saying they wanted me to hear something.

"No it's quite alright. It was my fault. The name is Alex and what's yours?" He asked.

"Claire." I said as I extended my hand and we shook hands. We talked for a few minutes longer before reading numbers and going our separate ways.

"What took you so long?" Dave asked as I finally walked through the door.

"I kinda bumped into some stranger and we got talking but I'm here now." I said with a smile.

Dave lead me to where Kurt and Krist were and I took a seat on the small stool that was in front where they were set up making it feel like they were on a mini stage.

I smiled mostly to myself because it was always something different with these guys. I never knew what to expect. They always seemed to have new weird idea for a song that just winds up being good because of some stroke of genious.

The song was great and interesting to say the least. But then again I was never not entertained by Nirvana. Their music was good and they were also my best friends.

"That was great guys." I said with a smile.

"You really think so?" Kurt asked with a grin.

"Hell yeah that was fucking awesome." I said as I stood up and hugged each of them one at a time.

"Glad you like it, we have a couple more of you'd like to hear them." Krist said with a grin.

"Of course I would!" I said with a smile of my own.

Those were the days when roof tops and music were everything.
