"It's a nice day for a white wedding." ~Billy Idol
*Claire's POV*
The wedding was two days away and to say the least I was nervous. I couldn't believe it was actually happening. I had picked out my dress with the help of Rose, Lilly, and Erin. It wasn't real fancy but I was more than okay with simple. We were just gonna have a simple small backyard wedding.
"Claire?" Dave said pulling me from all the thoughts.
"Yeah?" I said turning to look at him.
"You look kinda nervous." Dave said picking up on what I wasn't saying, a loud that is.
"A little because this so much to take in, in two days we'll be married." I said enjoying the feel of those words on my tongue.
"Yes we will, and I couldn't be happier." He whispered, as he put his arm around me.
I scooted closer to him putting my arm over too of him. That moment in time made me realize that he's what I never knew I needed, and for many wonderful reasons he is my hero.
*Day of the Wedding.*
My sister who never really talks much to me since our parents died came out to the wedding to help me get ready, she loved me but she wasn't one to deal well with them being gone.
"When I'm done with you, you're gonna look gorgeous." She said with a giant smile. She was going to take the mess that was me and turn it into a beautiful thing, which I thought was hardly possible.
I had naturally messy brown hair, I wasn't the greatest never really had been. Though a lot of people thought different.
"Okay Leah, I trust whatever you're gonna do." I said with a smile.
Leah started putting makeup on me like it was her favorite thing to do. Soon that was done she helped me into my dress before doing my hair in some crazy up-do.
Rose, Lilly, and Erin came in and smiled at how I looked. I wanted to turn my head away but didn't. As I was getting ready to walk down the makeshift isle in the backyard, I thought about the words to an old song I liked, 'its a nice day for a white wedding'
I walked out the guests were watching. I had to focus really hard on not tripping over the dress. That was why I always wore pants. When I reached where I was supposed to be I was standing in front of Dave.
*Dave's POV*
Claire looked absolutely beautiful, I could hold in my smile when I looked at her. Everything the officiant was saying was somewhat heard, somewhat not. We didn't really have any special vows so the ceremony was over pretty quick and it was on her and I being alone. She didn't want to travel far so we kept it close but still got out of the house.
"So what do you wanna do?" I asked looking at her.
"I know exactly what we can do." She whispered as we leaned in close.
I couldn't control the smile that made its way to my face. Claire grinned at me, and started kissing my neck. Her touch was feather light and beginning to make wearing any sort of fuckin clothing uncomfortable.
"I love you." She whispered in my ear before leaning back to remove her shirt. I took the chance to do the same.
My eyes roamed her skin looking at her. She had always been beautiful to me and would never change. She leaned in connecting our lips once more.
It wasn't too much longer, before clothing was just something that was lying on the floor, cause at that moment we didn't need clothes.
* * *
Morning came and we were still completely naked. Claire was still passed out. I decided to get dressed and go get breakfast. I wanted to surprise Claire.
*Claire's POV*
I woke up and Dave was just coming through the door. I smiled at him as he set food in front of me.
"I went and got food while you were sleeping." Dave said with a smile.
"Thanks." I said smiling once more before starting to eat.
* * *
The day went by slowly because he and I just sat around watching movies and talking. It felt just like all those memories from the past. The only difference was back then I wasn't married to Dave.
"I miss him." I said to myself but I didn't know I said it aloud as well.
"Miss who?" Dave asked looking at me with a raised eyebrow.
"Sorry I didn't know I said that out loud, I was just thinking back to when we were younger. I then got thinking about Kurt, I just kinda said aloud what I was thinking." I told.
"I know I do too, I miss him every fuckin day." Dave said as he wrapped an arm around me.
"Dave why did we spend so many years denying what we truly felt?" I asked aloud this time wanting him to hear my thought.
"Because we were just two young kids scared that we might ruin our friendship." Dave said as he kissed my lips.
"You're probably right." I said as I flipped the movie off and turned music on. It just happened to be playing White Wedding by Billy Idol. I smirked at Dave.
"You know I am." Dave said just before we got lost in the music.
"Yesterday I was thinking about this song just before I walked down the isle." I said with a grin.
"Really?" Dave said with a laugh.
"Yes really." I said smiling like an idiot as I sang along to White Wedding. Dave just shook his head and laughed a little more.
That was why I like being with him, he always had a laugh that could make even the dark days seem better.
"Dave, thank you for being in my life because I have no clue where I'd be if I never knew you." I whispered as I hugged him before drifting off to sleep to the sound of White Wedding.
