It was finally Friday, what felt like the longest week of my life was finally over. Since I have all my high school credits, I only have to show up 3/5 days a week. I picked Monday, Wednesday, Thursday this week. The current time was 11:43 AM and I just finished eating a late breakfast.

I grab my coffee mug and head upstairs. I go into my room and place my coffee mug on my desk. I grab my phone and connect it to my speaker. I place it in the bathroom and just as I am about to click on my playlist, I hear the doorbell ring.

I leave my bathroom and quickly go downstairs. I open the door and a smile is placed on my face.

"Melody babe! You look so adorable in your pjs, please tell me we're doing something amazing today!" My best friend Gavin says walking into my house

"Gavin, what are you doing here?" I ask him shutting the door

"Well I needed a break from college and a little birdy told me you were in dire need of a real friend, someone that saw through your popular girl get up." He said giving me a hug

"That's a smart fucking bird" I say laughing

"So Mel, the last time we talked you were telling me about your sexy ass hook up buddy Harry." He says sitting on the couch

"That was forever ago, we've been hooking up for a year today." I tell him and he looks at me

"You have to catch me up then, and I won't leave you alone until you do." He says and I roll my eyes knowing that he's not lying

"Fine. Sit in the bathroom while I take a shower." I say walking up the stairs

A FEW HOURS LATER

"Melody, you're actually an idiot. How can you not see that he's madly in love with you?" Gavin tells me as we walk back into my house

"I highly doubt that. It is and always will be just sex for him." I tell Gavin shutting the door

"And what about you?" He ask me

"I don't know. I did grow feelings for him but I got over them, saving myself from heartbreak." I say as we walk upstairs

"I think he'll change. From what you've told me, it sounds like he's madly in love with you but is too dumb to realize what good thing he has right in front of him." Gavin tells me placing his bags on my desk

I simply shrug and place my shopping bags on my bed. I start to take the things out of the bags and put them where they go.

"Did you get that cute guys number from Forever 21?" I ask him

"Of course. Like my previous boyfriend said, I'm irresistible." Gavin tells me and I laugh

"I wonder what time Harry wants to go to dinner."

"I'm gonna say 9 so he can have you in bed by 11" Gavin says and I laugh

My phone starts to ring and I pick it up, seeing the caller ID of the man himself.

"Speak of the devil and he shall appear." I say answering the phone

"Hello?"

"Hey Mel, there's a party at Derek's in about an hour, you should swing by." He says

I-what? Excuse me

I put the phone on speaker and move closer to Gavin.

"I'm sorry I didn't hear that clearly, what'd you say?"

"There's a party at Derek's in about an hour and you should come by." He says and I look at Gavin who looks as angry as me

"I was supposed to be going to dinner but I guess I can skip that." I say
