|| A side I've never seen Before ||

It has been about thirty minutes since Harry ran off into the kitchen. I've been watching reruns of Catfish and scrolling through Instagram on my phone.

"Are you almost done? I'm hungry!" I yell so he can hear me

"Give me like 25 minutes!" He yells and I grunt

"What the hell are you making that takes a literal hour?"

"You'll see!"

For the next 25 minutes, I watch two more episodes of Catfish and do some online shopping. Someone needs to take my money away because I keep buying shit I don't need.

"Okay, I'm done," Harry says stepping in front of the TV

"Great!" I say standing up

"But it's a surprise so I have to cover your eyes"

"When does dinner have to be a surprise?"

"For special occasions"

Or dates...

"Fine but make it quick."

He puts his hands over my eyes and starts to walk toward the kitchen.

"Ready?"

"I've been ready since I got here"

"I don't appreciate this new attitude of yours"

"I get like this when I'm hungry, maybe you should just feed me and we can forget about it," I tell him and he chuckles

He moves his hands from my eyes and I am stunned by the sight. He transformed the dining room into a very romantic, candlelight dinner. There is a bottle of wine and two glasses filled. White roses are spread across the table and around the floor. This is definitely a side of Harry that I've never seen before.

"All this in an hour? I'm impressed" I tell him smiling

He pulls a chair out for me as I take a seat. He decided on spaghetti for tonight. I can't remember the last time I had spaghetti and yes, I do realize how shitty that is.

"I thought you deserved something special since I was being a dick"

"A nice long thoughtful apology would've been fine but this is works too," I tell him chuckling

"So have you told your parents about your job offer?" He asks and I shake my head

Not only have Harry and I been fucking for the last year, but he's also become one of my best friends and we tell each other basically everything.

"I'm waiting for the right time.."I tell him

"When's the right time?"

"Probably never."

"You have to tell them because you're taking the job," He says eating some spaghetti

"I'll tell them when you tell your dad."

"You think I'm telling my dad." He laughs and I rolled my eyes

"Well then I guess my parents will never know," I say taking a sip of my wine

I was offered a job in Los Angeles, California to be an intern at a big-time record label. I'd eventually be able to become a producer but I've gotta start small. They're offering me 2,000 a month just to be their second pair of ears and do lots of other small stuff. I'd get to work with some of the best people in the music industry and give them MY ideas. I'd have to leave a week after graduation and they're paying for everything, even though I told them I can afford it myself. It's a great opportunity and I told them that I'll love the job. I haven't told my parents yet and they are literally going to kill me.
