"Harry I need to go." I tell him as I finish the last sip of my coffee

"Come over later?" He asks, taking a bite of his bagel

"Uh maybe, I told Dani I'd hang out with her and there's something my mom needs me to do." I say putting on my shoes

"We didn't even have sex so I'm more than likely gonna be horny all fucking day."

I huff as I reach into my bag and throw a pair my panties at his face.

"Jerk off to those, I really have to go though." I say kissing him as I leave

I throw my bag in the backseat of my jeep and start it before pulling out of the driveway. I connect my phone and put on my playlist as I make my way to Gavin's hotel. Crew by GoldLink comes on and I turn the volume up, singing the chorus.

As I get closer to the hotel, I call Gavin to let him know. I find his contact on my jeep and let it ring until he answers.

"Hello?" He finally answers

"Hey I'm almost there, you can just come down right? I don't have to come get you." I say, stopping at a red light

"Yea, I'll just come down, but um.. Scooter is going back to New York as well so if it's not a problem with you, I was wondering if he could come along to our breakfast spot"

"Sure I guess, the more the merrier." I say rolling my eyes

First the guy steals my best friend away from me, now he's coming to OUR breakfast spot. I try to be less of a bitch about stuff but I really needed Gavin this weekend and I feel like he threw me to th-

"Melody, I know you needed me this weekend and I kinda tossed you to the curb and I'm forever sorry, but I haven't felt this way about someone since Jeremy. I really needed this."

It's like he's my best friend or something...

"I understand, plus we'll have plenty of other times we can hang out. Just the two of us."

"This is why you're my best friend. I should go and finish packing, I'll see you in a few."

We exchange a quick goodbye before ending the call. I continue to drive while preparing myself for what's to come, an awkward breakfast followed by a more awkward car ride to the airport.

AT THE HOTEL

I finally get to the hotel and text Gavin to let him know. I haven't gotten a text back and it's been like ten minutes now. The longer I wait out here, the more pissed off I get. I get that he needs this but does he really have to drag me around in the process.

Just as I am about to call him, I see him and Scooter walk out with their bags. They put their bags in the trunk of my jeep before Gavin gets in the front and Scooter gets in the back.

"Goodmorning." Gavin says to me

"Morning." I say pulling onto the main road

"How was you're night?" He asks

"Normal, kinda."

"Kinda?"

"Yea. I was hanging out with you know who and he was acting exactly how you said he would."

"I told you he likes you!"

"It was weird. I felt like we were dating."

"Maybe you should ask him about it?"

"Do you realize how crazy you sound? Have you not been listening to me for the last year?" I asks

"You never know, he could change?"
