Allie let out a soft sigh as she walked down the street, tucking a strand off her hair behind her ear. She slid the forum into her pocket, as she walked quietly down the side walk. When all of a sudden she got one message after another. 'Huh I wonder who it is-' The brunette slid her phone out of her pocket, unlocking it and beginning to read the messages.
Dad- Look Adam, my guys can't keep up with the orders if you are going to keep cutting our pay. I'm barely making it by myself, so you need to get yourself in order, before all your workers quit. Before I quit.
Dad- Holy cr@p Allie I didn't mean to send that to you. I'm sorry.
....
....
Allie- It's alright dad don't worry about it.
'I didn't know he was that bad off...' Allie rubbed her forehead as she started walking once more keeping her head down as she did. 'I'm going to get a job I can work in the afternoons in my other body.' The brunette woman walked slowly until she bumped into some one. " Oh my god I'm so sorry." She took a quick step back.
" Hey! Watch where your going!" The man spat at her in a heavy accent. He had some what long red hair that didn't go bast his shoulders. The ginger haired looked like a complete rogue. A sliver piercing stuck out of his bottom lip, and one on his eye brow. Slim green piercing eyes. He was wearing a black plain top, black pants, and a white simple apron. In his right hand he was balancing a tray with four cups of coffee. " Hey airhead you almost made me spill a fresh batch!"
" I-I am so sorry-"
"Keegan!! Quit being rude to a possible costumer!" A woman said as she came out of the doorway of the café. She had long beautiful red hair that was pulled back into a loose pony tail, wearing the same kind off outfit as the man. She was clearly older having think laugh lines, and he frail hands that were holding a coffee cup looked worn by time. "I'm sorry Miss he has a terrible temper." The woman said walking up to Allie, as Keegan went back to work. "I'm Britt, owner of Main-street Café. Is there any thing I can do to make up for my son's rudeness?"
All the tension in Allie's shoulders seemed to fade, taking a deep breath. "Actually it's fine, don't worry about any thing I wasn't really paying attention. And I'd like to formally apologize." She said with a small bow.
" Oh child, don't mind stand up straight and I'll go get you a free coffee, extra sugar and creamer." Britt said as she turned on heel walking back into the café.
Allie awkwardly looked around only to see Keegan handing out coffee to the customers sitting outside at small round tables. Before he to disappeared back into the coffee shop. She slowly began to edge away from the coffee shop.
" Hey airhead, where do you think your going?! My mom gave you a free coffee, Be thankful." He snapped as he sprinted up to her holding out a to go coffee. Before he promptly turned and walked away, as he did a paper slid out of his pocket.
Allie blinked holding the cup with one hand picking up the paper with the other. "Wai-..." She cut herself off as she red the paper, it being simply a help wanted sign with the number to call on it. 'If I go to school in this body... And then work in the afternoons and mornings in my other normal body I could make money to help support my dad...'
Later That Afternoon
Allie- Normal body
Allie finished making a simple chicken ramen noodle dinner for herself, carefully picking up the pot off the stove top with a mitt. The brunette sat down a pot holder on the table, then the pot on the holder. She then turned on her phone, swiping to contacts. The young woman grabbed the help wanted poster, which she had taken off 'Allie 2.0'. She typed in the number and waited a few seconds later the phone was picked up.
"Hello, this is Keegan from Main Café how may I help you?" He spoke in a rather friendly and clearly faked voice.
'Oh my god it's him from earlier. Um.' "Um, hello sorry. My sister came in today and found this help wanted poster I was wondering if I could come in for a interview, or to get an application." She stumbled a bit now and then for a moment."
"Oh thank god. Of course we can get you in on next Wednesday. What's your name love?" He said sounding some what relieved.
"Allie. And what time would that be?"
"How about in the morning as soon as you can, times right now are flexible. Just remember to be there." Keegan spoke a bit roughly at the end.
"Thank you so much. Thank you for your time." She said before hanging up.
