Keegan's lips seemed to only drift closer to hers only being inches away from Allie's when the seat belt gave slack, he quickly sat back up straight. "S-Sorry, the seat belt does that all the time." He started the truck turning his eyes to the road.
Allie was blushing heavy, she quickly buckled in, before putting the tips of her fingers to her lips. 'Tha-t was so close' She could've swore she seen his cheeks turn a faint pink on his cheeks. "I bet you work that move on all the girls." She said with a soft smile.
"Nah. Just a small few." Keegan said with a wink and a wide smile. "Go ahead and pick a radio station."
Allie's heart seemed to do flip flops in her chest when she seen him wink. 'God he's handsome...' "Alright."she began to turn the dial until she found a 90's radio station playing Green Day.
The red head's hand drifted to the volume button turning it up. Lightly tapping his hand against the wheel as he drove. After a minute or two he pulled into a small parking lot that was almost empty
"We are here. And slower than normal." Keegan said as he parked the truck, before removing the key and unbuckling.
"Is there normally a lot of people." Allie asked as she unbuckled grabbing her purse.
"Hell, this parking lot is normally full. Cars are parked on the side of the road." He said sounding rather proud as he got out.
Allie blinked. 'I wonder if I bit off more than I can chew.' She quickly got out and followed him into the bar.
The bar large, small tables with four chairs were spread out across the building. One island with about eight stools was to the East side of the building. There also being a large TV and fire place on the northern wall of the building. People sat here and there at the tables quietly talking.
Keegan launched himself easily onto one of the stools before calling to the back. "Dad I'm back with Allie."
A few seconds later a steady squeaking came from the doorway behind the bar. Soon it got closer and closer until a man in a wheel chair came through the doorway.
Allie did every thing in her power not to gasp. She recognized him from the picture on The Four Leaf's website. It was Aiden Reid. Keegan's father.
Aiden was older now, the smile lines were deeper, he had a some what thicker beard. His eyes seemed sunk in. His black hair was almost all grey. But he still had a wide smile. He wheeled around the side of the bar and stopped in front of Allie. "Hello, my name is Aiden Reid. Keegan's father and owner of this pub." He held out his hand for her to shake.
"Nice to meet you Mr. Reid." Allie said shaking his hand. "My name is Allie Benton. I filled out the application."
Aiden released his grip on her hand. " Please call me Aiden. Mr sounds too formal."
"Okay Aiden." Keegan butted in.
Aiden whipped his head around to face Keegan. "Watch it boy. Just because I'm in this wheel chair doesn't mean I can whoop your as-"
"Please be civil boys..." Britt said as she walked through the door way and around the bar, to take an order of food to a waiting customer before returning pulling Allie off to the side away from the now bickering men. "I'm sorry. They like to pick at one another. You probably moved here to get away from drama."
"It's okay really. I did try to get away from it. But it's okay. After my parents divorce my mother has been rather cold and it's been a while since she's really let me do any thing with my life so really..." She glanced over and Aiden who was still sitting in his wheelchair but some how managed to get Keegan in a headlock. "It's nice to be her-" All of a sudden Allie's world went black.
