Holding out my hands to help up the poor child. She grabbed my hands and jumped into my arms, wrapping her arms around my neck and hiding her face in my neck. Taking me by surprise my eyes just went wide at first but then adjusting to the little child's actions I wrapped my arms around her body. She lightly cried her tears seeping into my not only my shirt but also into my skin. I wanted to cry too because she was digging her nails into my back as I carried her off the park. But I had to be strong for her and me. We got to the car I sat her in the back and sliding into the passenger seat.

Nick look over at me seeing the tears in the rim of my eyes from the pain she inflicted onto me. He looked into the back seat to see a sniffling and crying Hayden.

" Hey Hayden what's wrong baby cakes. " He said taking a few napkins, handing a few of them to me then wiping the tears and snot from the five year olds face.

" Some kid pushed her down on the play ground and then ran off some where. I didn't see where he ran. " I answered for the still crying child. Hayden shook her head in the back seat and called out no. Nick noticed so he asked her again.

" Dylan said I was his. And I said no 'I'm not I'm my mommy and daddy's.' That when he pushed me and said a bad bad word. " She said wiping her own face looking at the back of my head then out the window. I turned around in my seat looking at Nick shocked state. Then looked at our child. He took the child out of the seat and pulled her to the front, sitting her on his lap. He held her close to his chest. Rubbing small circles into her back.

" Don't worry baby girl. You are mine and mommy's. " He says into her hair " Mostly mine but you know. " He whispers making the little child face to brighten as she giggled.

" I'm yours. " She says pointing at his chest. He smiles as he looks down at his little girl.

" Mega mine " she says tickling her. She laughs as her tears began to dry. He sits her back and her seat. He looks at me and takes my hands into his.

" Mega mine. " He says then kisses me.

" Ew. " Cry's the little girl as she covers her eyes. We pull apart looking at little Hayden. We laugh and Nick starts the car and pulls off.
