rabbits
there's a tradition in my family.
on the first day of every new month,
if you say rabbits the first thing
when the day starts,
you get good luck for the entire month.there's some rules though!
you have to go to sleep
before you say rabbits.
staying up until twelve is cheating.i don't think any of us believe
that it gives you good luck,
but it's a tradition.when i woke up this morning,
my come called me downstairs to eat breakfast.
when i went downstairs,
she asked me the name of the kid
i kept asking for at the office.
"jungkook," i stated quickly.
she went silent, but nodded.
and then i realised i didn't say rabbits first thing.
but that's o.k.
i don't need luck, anyways.i ate my food,
got ready,
and walked to school.when i got to the school,
jungkook was waiting for me outside.
i waved at him,
and he waved back.when i got to him,
he put his hand into mine.
we walked together,
hand in hand."good morning," he smiled,
voice laced with drowsiness.
he yawned a big yawn,
showing his big, buck teeth.
i've never noticed his teeth before.
they're like a rabbit's.so maybe,
i did say rabbit first thing this morning.
even if i don't get the good luck,
i'm holding luck by the hand.
