mesmerise

jungkook and i decided to meet under the stars
every night until i can come back to school.
we don't play house,
and we don't play with action figures.
we just look at the stars,
the mesmerising stars.

jungkook taught me that word.
mesmerise.
he says it means
that you're completely focused on only one thing.
that is has your full attention,
and you can't turn away.

when we look at the stars,
jungkook holds me tightly,
i holds his head high.
his mouth would be open,
staring in awe at the dazzling lights.
he always looks so mesmerised.

and when he's mesmerised,
i find him so mesmerising.
i can't look at the stars,
because i found something much more beautiful.
something that twinkles in darkness and light,
something that dances to his on melody.

to me,
mesmerising means jungkook.
i can't look away.
