Chapter fortyeight - Miss Vernon Hills

Liza's POV ;
Today is the day of the pageant . Gabbie came and picked me up and we drove to where it was happening at . When we walked in they showed us to the back where the girls were so we can get changed and do our makeup and hair . When we walked in the back area we saw our girls . " Hey " Kristen says as she runs up to us and hugs us ." Y'all are finally here " Corinna says as we walk towards them all . I check my phone to see that it's 1:35pm and it starts at 3:30. " Girls lets get ready " Mrs Layton said as she walked in with her clipboard . Some of us girls went into the dressing room with our clothes and shoes while some waited . Mrs Layton took role and then she sat in her chair . I put on my dress then my shoes . When I walked out misted girls looked at me with aw. " Liza I really like you dress " one girl said that I didn't even know " thank you " I say with a smile . I then go to one of the vanity's and I start doing my makeup . Soon Erin and Gabbie come over and help me with my highlight. Then I help Carly curl her hair . I did my hair by just leaving it down with pretty curls and waves .

David's POV ;
I was at my house getting ready . I put my tuxedo on with the bow tie that matched the color of Liza's dress . I walked downstairs to see my mom and siblings walking inside . " looking nice David " my sister Ester says " thank you " I say with a side smile . My mom then hands me some flowers . " For Liza " she says with a smile and I nod . I then hear a honk outside " Scotty is here " I say " okay David we will see you later at the Pageant . " my mom says . I then walk outside and get in the car with Scotty . " oh shit look at David "  Scott says as we soon leave the neighborhood." Thanks man , u look good to " I say and he then laughs . We soon arrive at the place and we walk in . We walk into the back area and I see Liza sitting down in a makeup chair . She turns and faces my way and she smiles . " You look beautiful babe " I say as I hand her the flowers " are thanks babe " she says as she holds the flowers " your looking spiffy yourself " she says as she pulls on my tux . We lean in and kiss . Right then Mrs Layton walked in " Sorry but all guys need to get in their lines " she says . We all sat bye and me and Scott meet up with everyone else .

Liza's POV ;
After David left I then see Georgia walk inn. She was wearing this loose grey dress . Her belly bump was still showing like crazy . " well well, I see Elizabeth's escort is no other then David " she says I roll my eyes " well he is my boyfriend so " I say as I apply some lip stick " but he's my baby daddy " she says with a smirk . Everyone o's but down got quiet " Last I checked your a slut so it could be anyone "  I say "Damn " Gabbie says while some other girls laugh . She rolls her eyes and walks off . Mrs Layton walks in and tells us it's time . We get into our lines and we go to the stage behind the curtains .
Soon it all starts and it's about to be mine and David's turn . " Contestant number 13 Miss Elizabeth Koshy with her escort David Dobrik " we walk out from behind the curtains . We walk out and we meet in the middle . We walk down together and then Separate

David's POV ;
We danced and then the guys had to go back stage and so did the girls . Soon the Liza was about to walk out their and do her walk while they talked about her on the mic . " Contestant number 13 Miss Elizabeth Koshy , sixteen year old girl who loves to dance and sing . She's a straight A student and is in Vernon Hills High Dance Team . She had big dreams of become famous ." She walked across the stage looking beautiful . Her dress swung left to right as she walked . Next what going to happen is all the girls will be doing something that they are good at . Liza chose to sing Fly Before You Fall by Cynthia Erivo .
She sung it amazingly . Everyone clapped and cheered . This is only her 2nd time singing in front of people and she did good . She didn't mess up not once. Soon all the judges tallied up their scores . " Lady's and gents we have our top 5 . If your name is called move up to the front . And your escorts walk out and stand beside them .

Liza's POV ;
We stood their in our lines waiting for them to call the top 5 . "In 5th place is Contestant number 8 Miss Erin Gilfoy and her escort Heath Hussar. "We clap as Erin moves up and Heath walks our . " in 4th place is Contestant number 12 Miss Corinna Kopf and her escort Toddy Smith " we clap and they move forward. " In 3rd place is Contestant number 14 Miss Kristen McAtee and her escort Scotty Sire " we all clapped " "in 2nd place is Contestant 9 Miss Gabriella Hanna and her escort Zane Hijazi " they walked out and I clapped . I knew right then that it was going to be Carly to win . Like why would they chose a girl who just moved here from Texas . " And in 1st place our Miss Vernon Hills is Contestant number 13 Elizabeth Koshy and her escort David Dobrik " my eyes widened . I walked up to the front and everyone was clapping . They put one of those things around me that said " Miss Vernon Hills" on it and they put a crown on my head . David hugged me . Then we all walked to the back . Everyone met us back their . " great job Elizabeth" my mom says as she runs up and hugs me . Then David's mom and sibling came towards us " Liza !" Toby and Sara yells as they come up and hug me " You look beautiful Liza " David's mom says " thank you " I say with a smile . We all then went outside and took pictures with our friends and families. Dom also joined us and he handed David his camera . I guess he had recorded the whole pageant . I was so happy that I won . I'm Miss Vernon Hills and I can't believe it . I wonder does that make David Mr Vernon Hills
